Falling asleep

I’ve been trying WILD and MILD combinations of both, a few WBTB methods and each time I get the same result. I wake up remember doing the technique, but then entering a dream and remembering every detail but when i’m in the dream it never crosses my mind to LD. And I dont understand WILD how can u go from keeping a wake mind and being awake into entering a dream, I just fall asleep THEN enter a regular dream. And mild dosen’t seem to work, i’m getting frusterated whats wrong?!

takes time and practice man, im exactly where you are, but i know with time, if i keep practicing, it will work, you just gotta remember that, it will work.

Hi andy2003si, welcome to the forum!

WILD can be a pretty elusive technique! I found if very very very hard in the start to, however some people seem naturals. If it doesnt work very well for you, try another technique for some time and come back to it later. If you want to see how people do WILD’s, just browse the forum theres many examples. And about MILD, that too can take a while to start working, however in my experience its way more easy then WILD. You just have to stick with it (and do the tech right!). Both tech work 100 times better combined with WBTB! Good luck .

that’s my exact problem when i do WILD.

I believe (and this is just me) that WILD is a case of mind over matter, you have to tell yourself that your body is falling asleep but your mind is not, I have only used WILD a few times but the times that I did use them I got good results,
But I also believe that MILD is easier then WILD,
I always get longer dreams when I use MILD, but it’s like Xetrov said no matter what tech you use these things take time. Stephen LaBerge in his book “Exploring the world of Lucid Dreaming”, tells us that it took him 20 days (I believe that is what it says) and he was using MILD, and not only that he was really wanting to have a lucid dream, so the combination really wanting to have a lucid dream along with MILD, is a pretty good tech

Good Luck,

Magic

Exactly, everything under a degree of possibility, can be done if you are capable of controlling mind over matter.

Wow i beat Mr.Laberge, cuz i had my 1st LD in less than a week.

Still been extremely motivated, trying WILD and MILD everyyy night. Just having normal dreams with very good dream recall, but I when I have the dreams I never think about controlling them?! What am I doing wrong?

Nothing, except being too impatient  Don’t let it frustrate you, it can take some time but if you just do the best you can it will come

Like others have said: Be patient.

I know its hard to be patient while you know you’re trying to do the most fun thing you can imagine… but stick to the plan. You’re showing a lot of commitment. Seeing your DR increase is a very good sign. Eventually you’ll just ‘happen’ to succeed in WILD or MILD and you’ll be LD’ing like nobody’s business! Good luck!

Hi

Xetrov dont dont give WILD a bad name  . Its the easiest out of all the other techniques. The ONLY problem one can suffer is simply fallsing asleep. That happens to be the only requirment of this method. To stay focus. And this works best when a person is very tired. For example, last night i slept after 18 hours. I did WILD and i had a LD.

Andy, keep practising with one technique. Also there is a topic on how to choose ur technique which you might find useful

You think so . On average, people find WILD harder then MILD, certainly when beginning with LD-ing.

That’s because most ppl are light sleepers except fat ppl and homer simpson ppl.
Simply as this:
WILD: for wild ppl who are heavysleepers most likely and for those who want some wild adventures.
MILD: for those who are shy and want are afraid of things, they want things at mild rate.

Last 2 years I have had more then twenty times the amount of your LD total with just MILD, Cranberry. I wouldn’t call that a mild rate (nor am I very shy ) …
