False or semi-lucidity?

Hello,

I’ve been introduced to LD about 2 weeks ago and found this boad which i’ve been reading since then (And you guys are great, i’m happy to have found this place )
I have tried several techniques to have my first LD and tonight (when i didn’t do any of these techniques btw.) i had the first dream which covered lucidity, but i’m not sure what to make of it.

I was in a house with a few friends and we were attacked and pursued by a huge monster. It was quite a brutal dream, but not the usual nightmare where you’re scared and panic etc. So unfortunately the monster had taken away everything that could be used as a weapon to fight it (knifes etc.) so i eventually remembered that i could just summon something that could help us. So i tried to summon a sword by imagining it appear behind my back and when i turned around it really was there. I then did the same technique summoning a little monster friend which also worked. Finally i summoned 10 tiny monsters at once, but when i tried to make a bazooka appear (using a ‘type-it-on-a-virtual-keyboard’ technique i read about in another post btw. ) it didn’t work anymore. I know the dream sounds quite silly, but well, that’s what it was

My problem now is, that i wasn’t aware that i’m dreaming and i didn’t consciously make any decision, it was just the dream flow including lucidity somehow…

Do you think this was just my mind playing tricks on me or was it a first step to lucidtiy i could build upon?

First of all, welcome!

Second… that wasn’t a silly dream. That sounded awesome

And, yeah, I say it’s a first step towards lucidity. It goes something like this:

Normal boring dream < Normal dream where you have super powers and can manipulate the dream in some way < Normal dream where you find something is out of place but can’t quite figuyre it out < Normal dream where you say things like “I can do X because this is just a dream”, but not lucid (called FLD) < low lucid dream, where you realize it’s a dream but still sort of go with the flow (still are afraid to get hurt, for example) < high lucid dream, where you completely understand what it means to be in a dream.

Anyway, something like that. :content: Ok, that was a long list, so it may seem that your dream doesn’t mean much… but if you normally don’t have super powers and summon stuff in your dreams, then I see this as a big step!
