FAs and low-level/false LDs

I’ll try to keep this short, without removing too many details. We’ll see how that goes.
Anyways. I’ve had a few LDs (I think!) recently, almost all in the morning after waking up and falling back to sleep. Most if not all begin with an FA, where I always do the nose-pinch RC, which seems to always work for me. However, I don’t really become lucid, just slightly. Everything is really dark, and pretty scary. When I get out of my dream bed, I usually stumble a LOT, as if I’m either drunk or extremely tired. I’ve tried rubbing my hands etc, and “increase lucidity”, and it may help a LITTLE bit, but barely noticably.
The few times I’ve been able to do cool things is when I go out the back door (the front doesn’t work somehow), but I’m still not fully lucid, being afraid of consequences, not wanting to talk in case people hear me IRL, and so on.
I’m not quite sure what to do at this point. I try to tell myself it’s just a dream, but it doesn’t seem to work.
I usually wake up early (after at most 1-2 minutes lucid), but I guess that’s something else to tackle after this.

Any advice?
Thanks.

I’m guessing most people will just advise you to persevere. They might say that you will get better with practice and your LD’s will last longer too, just give it time.

There is a fair amount of truth to what Tomothy said; longer and more lucid LD’s typically come with practice. What you might want to try however is instead is leaving your house, stay and just practice some dream control things. Try things like telekinesis, changing brightness, whatever you really believe you can do. This engages you in the dream (which tends to make it last longer) and helps you improve dream control at the same time.
