Favorite/Best Method to Lucidity?

Hey, sorry if this is in the wrong area or if it has already been posted… I’m new here.

But anyway, what is your favorite method to get into a lucid dream?

MILD/WBTB. Sometimes DEILD.

WILDs are a bit too difficult to really rely on for most people, including me.

I really like WILD, especially in conjunction with DEILD. Using both those techniques together, I managed to have 4 or 5 LDs in a row this morning (not sure on the exact amount, it’s kinda difficult to remember so many dreams over such a short period of time).

WBTB too, if you count waking up for a minute 5 hours after falling asleep, switching off my alarm and then doing WILD.

If you’re looking for recommendations with this thread, I wouldn’t be discouraged by the people who say WILD is too difficult for beginners. Just make sure you read many different topics about it and adapt fragments of each to suit you, remembering that you need to tell your body and mind to sleep, while, on another level, “poking” the mind every now and then to keep it aware enough. Every time you use it, successfully or not, you’ll get better at it, and the sooner you start learning it, the sooner you’ll master it.

On the other hand, I’d say not to bother with DILD until you’ve had a fair few lucid dreams (using either MILD, WILD or DEILD, or by pure luck) so that you actually have experience and can make it worthwhile when you do manage to have one.

I enjoy drinking a glass of milk, doing some MILD (and EFT whitch i tried last night and worked) then WBTB, More MILD and then that helps with LD and DR

When I get in bed, I’m really sleepy, so I don’t want to waste too much time awake so i can lucid dream. I repeat a few mantras and can DILD from them. If I’ve had a lot of sleep recently, I’ll do WBTB, I think it’s really effective.

Aha, ok. I wanted to try WBTB, but can’t since it wakes up everyone else with my alarm clock.

I’ve been trying to lucid dream for a few months now, but haven’t been too successful. (Though I’m not trying too hard =P)

Before I try WILD, I always take deep breaths and count them. It helps a bit to relax my mind. (Similar to counting sheep) The first night I tried to do a WILD, I tried for nearly an hour and got close. But anyway, based on my experience so far, what would you recommend me to do next? =o

Recently i have been having alot of success with DEILD I find it to be the most reliable method for me.
