I had a LD last night (and WOW this one was the best I’ve had yet!) and did lots of the things I wanted to do. I turned into a wolf, since I heard it is neat to feel yourself in a different shape, but I didn’t really feel anything. When I touch things, I don’t really feel much. Is there a way to increase feelings, or am I just expecting too much?
I dont think there would be a way to “feel” more,to somehow learn it.I guess its all up to particular ld…sometimes you can smell but your vision gets blurry, sometimes vision is 100% clear but u just cant fly…so on so on.
it would be more of an ld feature rather than your skills.
Anyways i think you concentrate too much on “do i feel something?what if i dont?isnt it too weak?” sort of questions instead just let go and just keep touching things, smelling them ,looking at them closely.Eventually you might feel the differences just like in real life-as you know some things there just arent any special to “feel”…they just usuall so you dont notice how i.e glass feels like. Its not said that dream carrot for example must taste any stronger or different or actually taste at all:)
good luck:)
It is quite possible to enhance a particular sensation in a Lucid Dream by simply paying attention to it. For example, if you concentrate on viewing the world with greater clarity, eventually things will sharpen as they come into focus. Equally, by examining a small object in your hands or running your fingers over a rough surface, you can increase the sensation of touch to the point of it seeming quite real.
Eventually you can learn to take more control of these aspects of the dream until you find yourself capable of experiencing life-like sensations that involve all of the senses.
Atheist’s ideas are good, but if they don’t work you could just try closing your eyes and screaming “When I open my eyes I will be able to feel!” and then see what happens.
