I’ve always been completely mystified by LD. Always have wanted to have one but i can’t seem to stay on track. i get into it for a few weeks my DR gets really good 3-4 dreams a night, then poof i lose interest. If anyone has any tips on how they keep interest/focus why the going gets rough, i’d appreciate it.
I’ve also been very interested in WILD lately. SO to the most simple version, i basically lay awake, still, then start to feel a tingley feeling for a while then some HI, HH n stuff . then some weak images that get vivider and vivider then pulled into a dream. please correct me into the most simple way ppossible and please no links to guides.
What time of night are you trying to WILD? You can’t do it when you first go to bed because you don’t dream then. I recommend doing it around 4am. Letting yourself wake up naturally as opposed to an alarm clock I also find better (drink a lot of water before bed, it should wake you.)
You can always read dream journals and see what other people have been doing in their dreams for inspiration.
Must you necessarily start with WILD?
That technique is much more ideal for people who already have some experience.
Usually WBTB or MILD - or better yet, a combination of both - is better for beginners.
In any case, if you feel that you can pull off WILD without feeling annoyed by the typical issues (swallowing, itches etc) then that technique is much better to use during naps; you have to go through a massive Deep Sleep when you fall asleep during the night, which makes it very hard to remain awake until REM starts.
When you nap you dive into REM instantly, so WILD is a lot easier during the day.
Actually you can also use it together with WBTB, so that you WILD when you go back to bed again.
