Finally... After three months !

Hello eveyrone

I joined this forum around September when I first learned about lucid dreaming.

From then on… I worked very hard to do WILD for the first week or so… then kind of gave up and started going on and off with lucid dreaming. The past two weeks or so, I’ve been having dreams in which I talked of lucid dreams and I was exteremly frustrated and decided to use my own method.

There are some timer apps in the Apple store with a nice “meditation” bell that rings when the time is up. Everytime that bell rang, I did LL, and it actually worked. Before I slept, I performed auto suggestion (I will rest nicely, I will remember my dreams, etc.) and fell asleep.

Next thing I know, I’m going upstairs towards my room, and all the sudden I performed a RC (I say all the sudden because for the past few weeks I haven’t done it) and I could BREATHE through my nose even though I’ve pinched them! Then I knew it was a dream. Got extremely excited, but with all the shallow knowledge I had, tried my best to recognize the background, rub my hands etc. But I kind of went semi-lucid from that point on; I didn’t have full control over my body even though I was lucid and knew I was dreaming…

At one point for some reason I felt like my eyes hurt so I had to close/open them and I opened them in real life ): … or was it in real life? I should’ve performed another reality check. But it was really fun to have my first real lucid dream!

Honestly, the only thing that assured me that I was in my dream was that the fact I could breathe through my enclosed nosetrills; everything was SO REAL.

So that’s my experience with my first lucid dream
seems like LL is a really good method!

 Booyah! Good on ya, mate!

Awesome! Better than my first LD.
I woke up in bed and did a reality check with the nose. I was dreaming, “(Yes, woohoo)~}crud”

Congrats!

I agree with that. Trust me, doing RC constantly is very good, you get constant proof that you’re actually dreaming and you’ll bring stability and vividness into dream by doing one. Try to perform RC after every bigger change in your dream. Like you are in your room you do RC, after some time you’re in city do RC and so on, or even few times peer each scenery. It helps a lot!

Good luck!

Congratulations Innhyu! I definately agree that LL is the best method. Though, I do admit, my attempts aren’t as good as they should be, I do get LD’s at regular intervals because of DILD. Autosuggestion is great too, keep it up!

I’ve been trying for about a year now, no success though.

Congratz man.

Grats! It took me about the same amount of time to start getting the hang of it
