Well after a few years of trying i think I finally had a LD, not by WILD which is the technique I’ve been constantly practicing, but by DILD. What happened was for some odd odd reason in my LD I had a pet tiger, then over the cource of the dream, suddenly the tiger started to pounce on me and right as I did, I closed my eyes and thought to myself, “Wait a second, I don’t have a pet tiger!” then I opened my eyes to find myself in an entirely different location, kneeling down with my arms out to my side, with a gun pointing right at my head with several men in suits standing around me, I said “This is it, I must be having a lucid dream”, then the man with the gun said “What did you just say???” so knowing I was lucid I tried to make the gun vanish from his hands but I just couldn’t, so my only option was to smack it out of his hands and take off running, it was all so realistic, I could feel the wind brushing past me as I ran.
Skip ahead alittle bit(I’d say a good hour in dream time), but in my dream, since I had no control, I finally ended up dying as the men in suits(reminded me of agents from the matrix) caught up to me.
So, does this count as a lucid dream even though I had very little control besides my own actions?
Remember, a having a LD doesn’t mean you can control your dream. Whether or not a dream can be called a LD depends on your level of awareness. Whether or not you can control a dream, largely depends on the flexibility of your mind: if you believe you can do it while in a dream, you can; if you believe you can’t do it, you can’t.
I fin it funny that even people practicing this (thise being LDing) for years fail do realize the actual meaning up the words they’re trying to achive every day…
Congrats, Reaper!!1 That’s aesome! Man, LDs are so much fun
Yes, when I had my very first LD I could barely control anything. Couldn’t fly, couldn’t turn invisible, or anything. Although, when I had my second LD I could fly, make stuff appear, etc. It’s because I was confident. I said to myself “I can do this. This WILL appear”.
Just keep on trying. they’ll come. Peace out! Again, congratulations!
WELL DONE! I have LDs quite often, and you will definitely be able to control more things in it, as you experience more LDs you will become accustomed to changing things, and making different things happen. In mine i can control other people and make them do strange things. But this is about you, so congratulations on your first LD.
