First LD but now I got some questions

Ok, so I had my first LD about 4 hours ago at around noon or so. I was napping with my girlfriend, and I had already had one semi-dream. It’s sort of hard to explain… You know how you can doze off during a nap, and definantly be awake, but still be sort of dreaming? Like a daydream but you aren’t creating it, your subconcious is.

Well, I was having one of those, and I definantly became at some point aware that it wasn’t real, because of an obvious dreamsign (a path through a forest that was new asphalt with a bright yellow line). I then had a sort of montage dream thing (because it wasn’t a deep dream) with me walking up icy paths, slipping, and sometimes falling back down a few feet.

At some point during this daydream I had the urge to run. I can’t remember at all why. But I started sprinting. At this point I didn’t really have any visuals, the dream was still going but I was sort of in limbo. Then all of the sudden it was like I had ran into my real body. I could see this amazing forest in front of me, with a fuzzy white light permeating everything. Everything was crystal clear, and I felt great.

Unfortuantly, I was so excited both by knowing I was LDing and by the fact that I was still sprinting that I got the most painful adrenaline rush in my stomach. I began to scream “I’m DREAMING!!” but before the words could even come out I began to wake up, I’m assuming from excitement.

So, my question is how can I re create this dozing sleep? Does anyone know what I’m talking about, and use the same technique to enter LDs? It’s like… being awake but allowing your subcoincious to do the day dreaming for you… different than actual day dreaming where you are walking yourself through it.

i get that the whole time if i wake up in te morning but am determined to get back to sleep.
it happens to me because i just imagine myself having conversation with people and what they mihgt say (this isnt to have a dream, i just do this anyway). anyway then me conciously imagining these scenes become subconcious and all of a sudden im in a lucid dream.
happens all the time

Getting that Fuzz feling is kinda wath WILD is about. And i also gett it some times without focusing on it.

I have tried that… my problem is that it seems that my concious is making up what the responses would be, instead of my subconcious… and that keeps me awake.

I have tried it with other things, imagining locations and such, but it seems that I can’t get into a dream because my mind is working too hard to make the stuff up.

I’m not an expert on it, but I think that this "daydreaming"state you refer to is probably a part of the WBTB, that is when you go to sleep by entering directly the REM state. By the way, I also heard that naps are very good for lucid dreaming
