I have posted a topic before about a first lucid dream but now I think it was false. Now I have had a real lucid dream(and some questions).
Anyways it started i thought I woke up but i was in a different bed. I checked my hand and I could see through it. I tried putting a finger through it and it went. Then I got up and tryed to fly. I did but I was a bit slanted whenever I flew . I went outside and saw a bird. I tryed using my fingers like a gun and it made some zapping noise but nothing happened. It was drizzling so i tryed to make it rain harder(next to the bird), when I squinted my eyes the rain poured hard but then it got back to normal. Then I started to fly higher and higher until I could see the whole planet(still slanted ). It was mostly land with a little water between the land areas. I saw one area that looked like it had a big hole in it. Then I flew down and landed in a big pool. Then after a while a huge thing that looked like a spider landed over me, but I ducked to the side. Then I fell through the floor and landed in a thin area that i had to crawl in. Then I thought I woke up but was in the wrong bed again so I looked at my hand and my fingers were tall so I closed my eyes and opened them and I appeared back at the pool, but there was writing on the ground next to it that looked like a list of pool rules. Then I woke up but I was in the right bed so I checked my hand and did some reality checks but no more dream so I got up and started writing this. Now the questions.
Why was I slanted when I flew.
Why did the rain stop going faster when I stopped squinting.
And I was trying to do the hand method and with WILD. I felt like i just woke up for a second then I just kept my eyes closed and I appeared I the other bed like an illusion that I woke up (fasle awakening, right?).
Congratulations ! I find you have had a lot of control on your first LD !
I’m afraid there are no answers to your questions. That’s maybe why nobody replied so far.
About slanted fly : I often have funny problems too when I fly. I want to go ahead and I go back, or sometimes, a big wind pushes me where I don’t want to go. But I don’t know why.
About rain :I would say : the rain poured hard when you squinted your eyes, thus it became normal when you stopped squintting. The good question would be : why did you squint in order to make the rain fall faster ? Of course, I don’t know and you probably don’t too. There are a lot of strange things and reactions in dreams.
About false awakenings : you’re right. Sometimes, when you close your eyes, or try to teleport, or intent the dream to change suddenly, you find yourself in a bed and believe you woke up. You had a very good reaction when you looked at your hands !
Thanks for the reply and guess what. I had another LD just today
I did WILD but nothing really weird happened. I heard a woosh noise like wind, but thats all and then I was in the dream. It was not clear though . I tried rubbing my hands but it didn’t help. All I could see were parts of a room, the rest was bits of black and I woke up after it happened. Pretty short.
After having this dream I relized that the older dream might have been a dream that I only had low lucidity
I think the reason the rain went harder in my “first” LD was because when I squinted, some reason it felt a little like I had psychic powers and I could make it go faster.
And I’m sorry for posting the whole dream here. I should have put it in the dream diary forum.
Have you read about the advice to shout in your lucid dreams “increase lucidity” or “increase colors.” Some find this very effective.
I usually spend the first moment of my LD sitting still and looking around. I think this helps “ground” me to my LD and helps stablize. One of my favorite things to do right away is to feel the surfaces below me. It not only helps “anchor” me to the dream, but I think it’s just fun to feel the realistic textures.
I have read about that but I forgot about it. I’ll try it when I have another LD.
I tried another WILD but I couldn’t relax because I was reading on my bed facing the ceiling before I tried sleeping.I wasn’t in a good position so it gave me an ache and I couldn’t sleep good.
i think you did extremely well for your first ‘real’ lucid dream. you at least had a bit of an adventure and were able to do a lot of different things.
i liked reading this and i also suggest you write it up in the ‘BIG “my first LD” collection’ thread in the dream diary section of the forum.
