So, this morning i did what i consider to be my first successful WILD. but i had some problems…
So, i was in bed and i started getting vibrations, and it felt like I was floating out of my body. At this point i decided to try to roll out of my body, which worked, but my dream body was partially paralyzed… it was very difficult to move.
Secondly, every time i would think of my body, or myself asleep, i would go back to my physical body and the dream would colapse (had 2 lucid dreams, and this happened to both of them).
Might this be an OBE experience? I’m not really sure what to think, and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for my problems…
Its perfectly normal for your dream body to be paralized during your first few WILDs.
Same thing with the returning to your original body when thinking about it. And about the OBEs-most people will tell you that an LD and and OBE are the exact same thing, its just how you think about it.
Hope this hepled
hey, trophycase, congrats on your WILD I’ve gotten the paralysis while entering a WILD from SP but only once or twice… I think if you’re able to focus on your dream body and let the dream stabilize around you that effect should fade away.
Thinking of your physical body will quickly get your awareness back on it. This can really ruin the LD specially if you’re still in the transition or in an unstable LD… sorry, don’t have any tips for that just don’t worry about it and try focussing on the dream or HI or whatever.
well, i wasn’t in a transitional phase when i returned back to my body. i was already in a dream, and i had moved around and even tried rubbing my hands together in the hope that it would make the dream more stable.
and hopefully i can do better next time. just need some more practice. haha
I also had my first WILD last night!! and I had a similar problem. Here is an excerpt from my DJ:
I was laying in bed after sleeping 8 hours, not quite ready to wake up. I decided to try a form of WILD/MILD where I was visualizing myself in a video game (maybe VILD?). I visualized myself walking around and doing RCs. After probably 10 minutes of not moving and keeping my mind occupied with my visualization I feel the onset of SP.
Normally, I get too excited and my breathing gets out of control (or at least feels like it is) and I knock myself out of it but I remained calm and relaxed. I heard buzzing in my ears and continued to lay there in a state of numbness and almost isolation from the world. I was seeing a black void and I did an RC to really make sure I was dreaming.
I tried to open my dream eyes but they wouldn’t open. I also tried to move my dream body but I was having trouble. I kept doing RCs to confirm I was dreaming but my eyes wouldn’t open. Eventually I tried to force my body to move and actually knocked myself out of SP and moved my real body.
Maybe I didn’t wait long enough after the onset of SP, but this is the closest I’ve come to having a real WILD and I feel like next time I’ll be able to do it and have an awesome dream! Nonetheless, I count this one as a win.
I tried again after that but I think I was too awake and excited to enter SP again.
congrats eyegug! deffenitely a win I’ve also had that problem in LD’s where I can’t see at all. Once or twice openning my dream eyes worked. After talking to some people ion the chat the other day I think I was too eager to see. I think we should focus on the senses we do have and wait patiently, perhaps the sight comes on it’s own. Maybe simply imagining how it would be like to see could work…
