fully aware but less control

hi everyone,

i have been aware i was dreamin a lot of times. I dont know if was really lucid, because i always wake myself up before bad things happen. After reading alot from this forum, i have realised its possible to control an LD and its good to have one

So, becoming aware of this fact i got a few precious short LDs where i know i am the boss and no need to be scared. Despite this, i still cant fully control my LD. For example:

This morning i woke u at 05:00 en went to sleep after 1 hour. Before sleeping i said to myself i would become lucid again. And this worked, for the second time i tried after accidently waking so early

So when dreaming i was in my house looking to a broken wall and then thought it was a dream because i often see broken walls in my dreams(dream theme?).I did a RC to be sure because it was so real. And it worked, i floated. Being happy about this i got a bit exiced and the environment became vague. than i remembered rubbing my hands(thans to this forum). And this also worked. But i was still in the room. And wanted get away to a better environment. So i flew to the window and crashed without going through it (like some ppl can do on this forum). And also realised i never could go through things in my dreams. So i became impatient and flew to the door where i also couldnt go through…

Than it became a ND…

So my question : since i cant go through walls of door. And the spinning also dont work. And since i mostly become lucid in a house…

Is there a way for me to change the dream?

Nice!

You seem really proficient with this stuff already.

As for your problem with the dream setting/environment or whatever, I think you just need to get creative there. You mentioned that you can’t go through walls, doors or windows and how your LDs mostly take place in a house.

You could try to consciously change your surroundings - imagine the door/window has disappeared or there’s a huge hole in the wall. You could simply have dynamite in your pockets and clear your path with it, or just develop a random superpower that would help you. Anything really. I would just try to open the door or just close my eyes and imagine the new place that is going to be there when I open them.

You can experience anything you can possibly imagine.

Best of luck to you!

Thank you very much Slumbie… I’ll try to remember those…Especially the one to create a super power . The problem is (i think) i have an acceptation… I accept i’ll still be in my room when i close and open my eyes again…
and it happens.Because i know i always can fly in my dreams, i dont have problems flying.

i must admit i am a newbie to this. I have not kept a journal or anything(plannig to do very soon). i just have the luck that i sometimes realise i’m dreaming when
something extraordinary happens.(This doesnt always
happen btw) .When im normally lucid, i mostly fly away in panic or wake myself up closing my eyes…(waking in this state was not so fun,
mostly coming back few times and going back when my paralaysed body feels like shaking),in a low level lucid states.

But since i am reading on this forum it seems i am getting a step further. This WTBT(?) in combination with a light-MILD
seems to work for me… Now just practice to get more control of the environment…(really feel that i am the boss?) Maybe doing some relaxation exercises or something. Hope my formula works again  this weekend, I’ll try your tips and maybe that mirror-trick i red somewhere here.

Well starting with dream setting of your house is not bad. It’s the environment where you feel safe I guess and it could make you more confident in your abilities.

I would suggest not to rush to change the environment. Get to know the surrounding that you were given by you subconscious. I guess it’s not randomly, there has to be a reason. Then when you become more aware and accustomed to this environment then you can try stepping through the door and see where they take you.

Give yourself time. Accept that you can not achieve something special over a few nights. You need to learn how to become and stay lucid and then how to do things. You’re on the good track, you already have done much, give yourself credit and in no time you will be much more successful!

Good luck! :content:

I havent thought it that way dB_FTS. I think you’re probably right. The need to escape from the house made me hasty and even a bit claustrofobic when it failed. That made me lose (of give up) the LD. I will try to relax and observe my environment the next time instead of getting fully control of it. Tnx!

I’m glad I could help! :content:
