You know that Role Playing game Dungeons and Dragons? That one that automatically makes you a nerd for even thinking about playing it?
The one that is so nerdy, even nerds don’t speak of it?
Yeah, that game rocks
anyway, one of the guys who helped create DnD, Gary Gygax, died the other day. He was already retired from a heart attack and multiple strokes, and died at 80, so it’s not like it’s a shocking, tragic, unsuspected death, but still, the guy was a legend with a huge creative talent and 7 kids.
he once said:
“I would like the world to remember me as the guy who really enjoyed playing games and sharing his knowledge and his fun pastimes with everybody else.”
So yeah, let’s not be all sad for him, let’s carry on his legacy, and roll some d20s in his honor. Who knows, might give you luck.
Good night, sweet prince, and flocks of angels sing the to thy rest
