I realize this sort of thing has probably come up a bunch of times already, but I wasn’t here when everyone was talking about it so if I could ask for some outside insight (Yes, I realize how that sounds)?
Okay Question 1) The last couple weeks I’ve had dreams involving acid, buying acid, licking acid off of a playing card (acid = LSD). I have never done acid before and I really didn’t plan on doing it, plus I have recently stopped using marijuana (going on a month now, which is pretty long for me). What could this represent?
Question 2) This is the one I’m more focused on because I think it means something. There is a girl who I had met during the second semester of my senior year at school (I just graduated in may). I thought she was sort of cute, and she was very pleasant, and we hung out (she liked to play beer pong too) but I didn’t really make a deal out of it because she was engaged to be married and she had been very unkind to my best friend (I didn’t even picture her during my shower sessions, which usually include any girl I can think of ) anyhoo, she has been in my dreams a lot. not in a sexual way, she’s just… there… a lot.
I’ve been racking my mind trying to figure out why and the only thing I could think of is that she was in my freshmen english class, but i don’t think that has any relevence because it was a simple core class and I was too busy having a crush on another girl (who I dated…it was a two year mess, would never do it again)… any thoughts?
this has happened to me before (the second situation with recurring dreams about a girl) i’m not too sure what it meant, but if it was a girl i hadn’t talked to in a while, i’d stop dreaming about her if i resumed communication
so… i think maybe there is some unresolved issues with this girl that your subconscious is trying to tell you to resolve. so if you can, try talking to her
Perhaps it was just coincidence the first few times. Then you started wondering about why you were seeing her so much, and this caused you to think about her more, which put her in your dreams even more.
Reoccurring dreams are a funny thing. I usually stand by the idea that dreams are based on the topics that spend the most time in your waking thoughts. If you like a girl, for example, you’ll probably spend a significant amount of time thinking about her, which in turn will provoke a string of dreams accordingly (trust me on this one). Equally, a major fear or concern might appear consistently for the same reason. Consciously, you might be trying to reassure yourself that you have no interest in her whatsoever (sure seems that way ), but subconsciously she’s clearly on your mind.
On the other hand, Monitor has a point. If you notice a common dream topic occurring multiple nights consecutively, you might convince yourself that it’s a reoccurring dream, which will effectively make it into one. Firstly because you’re thinking about it so much, and also because you’ve basically commanded yourself (via placebo) to dream about it again.
It seems to me only those people who are wary of relationships (for one reason or another) will deny their true feelings. Most people seem to be all for their newest interest in a particular person. After all, it’s highly encouraged in our society.
Guy: Oh, I saw Kimmy today. I think I’m starting to like her.
Guy’s Friend: No way, dude. Totally ask her out!
there’s a guy, who goes to our school. i went to kindergarten with him and we talked sometimes. but now (for the last 10 years) i havent spoken to him. but i have alot of dreams about him. he’s always…around, doing something or just walking past me on the street. he has become a dreamsign O_o maybe you can use that girl as a dreamsign to become lucid? that’s what i do, lol
Well, I’m not the psychoanalist, but first thing I thought was that it does not necessarily have to be about that girl, especially because it is not sexual. Could be she represents something in a symbolical way, could be a projection of an aspect of yourself.

I son’t know, when I had a dream about the guy I fancied but did nothin about it cos he had a bf, I met him, soon after, and we’re kinda seein each other now. I hope your dream does this, but it could be anything. Have you thought of ANYTHING you wouldn’t normally think of? Cos you could have thought about…say…orange juice, and you could have simply thought about who drinks orange juice, and a memory of her drinking orange juice came up and then you dream avbout her and boom…(sorry, oj was the first thing that popped into my stupid brain, but I hope you get what I mean)[/color]
