The article is about the new exo-planet that was found some days ago and it’s very similar to earth.
The special thing with this planet is that it lies in the habitable zone. Which means that life can evolve on the planet.
The mean temperature on the planet is said to be somewhere between 0 and 40 degrees celsius.
But the real interesting thing about this, is that it proves that “Earth”-like planets can be more usual in the universe than what scientists have believed.
The planet Gliese 581 C is 20 lightyears from here.
Very close(In astronomic perspective).
No fair! I saw that article yesterday, and I was going to make a topic about it today!
Actually I think I saw a different article (different website) but I’m not sure cause your link isn’t working for me.
[edit]Thanks for fixing the link![/edit]
I’ll post my link as soon as I find it.
I don’t doubt that we’ll be able to determine whether there is or isn’t life in our generation though. Technology just keeps getting better
Gaah!
It makes me want to dance or something. That’s so cool.
That is definitely what I want to do for a living when I’m older.
Look for planets. Something that has to do with space.
Why going so far when we might be able to terraform AND cripple the planets closer to us? Even the Moon!
Hell, we can even fight WARS for/on them! Isn’t it great?
