It seems that as soon as one’s conscious mind stops thinking and the subconscious starts, one is capable of transferring into dream reality, however the barrier to this is that in order to get to this state, one is usually quite groggy and not capable of very active fantasizing, visualizing, or interaction with the other half of his mind.
Then one risks simply falling deeply asleep only to perhaps come to be in a dream eventually, but without a smooth transition out of body, fully conscious of the entire process…
I am very very good at falling asleep, consciously at that, but instead of then initiating a dream I just drift until the momentum of sleep wears off and I wake up, perhaps in the span of 15 minutes or so… this state is crucial for being able to leave the body but what should I do ? Maybe after I wake up I should use that as a chance to WBTB instead of letting myself get progressively groggier and groggier ?
