Through a series of unlikely events I stumbled upon this site, and was fascinated by the material.
This has to do with the fact that since I can remember I have dreamt ‘lucid’, I realise it’s a dream, and I recall that as a kid I even had a few tricks inside dreams to skip over to the next ‘scenario’.
But I have never truely had control over my dreams, what I’ve learned over the years is that the moment you try to focus in on something in a dream it ‘morphs’ into whatever is actively crossing my mind.
This way, even if I conciously focus on changing something into something else it will perhaps hold it’s form for half a second before the whole scenario changes against my will.
I do have a largely intact memory when I dream, this way I can easily compare things to reality and thats pretty much how I become lucid most of the time.
Anyway, does anyone with more insight into this than me know of a way that might get me into control of my dreams?
Not that theres anything wrong with just observing your own dreams, but realising it’s fanatasy spoils alot of the fun.
I’ve tried those, screaming tends to scramble the scenario, leading me somewhere related, creating a device is not possible because I don’t have control over it, I’ve tried but nothing seems to pop into pseudo-existence, and completely focussing on touching something tends to distort the very object I want to touch (i.e.: pen turns into syringe).
Thanks anyway, maybe I’ll find out some methods while browsing through the forum.
I suppose what should help would be getting to believe myself I’m actually in control of the dream, oh well, I’ve read alot on this site so I have one or two things to try out in a few hours.
Thats about as far as I can get, but one very interesting thing to do is just change one thing about the dream while lucid and try to forget your dreaming, some of my best dreams were because of that one change, it really messes the story
