I had a dream lastnight, it was something about war, but when I woke up. It felt like I had recieved very insightfull knowledge, the kind of knowledge that could change the world, but I cant remmber what it was about. It was on the tip of my toung, I remmber it was about why there is war, and something about a tunnel under the earth, but thats all I can remmber. Has anyone had those dreams before?
Those dreams are so damn exasperating, you know something very important, but don’t know how to bring it up to the surface. I remember that once I saw an old man in a dream, he had cancer in his hands or something like that. He told me a lot of important things to solve problems that I had in those days. When I woke up I didn’t remember what he told me. Someway I knew that it was important, but didn’t know what it was at all.
yae, there very frustrating. Ive had dreams like this before.
I’ve always dreamed that I’m hearing the sweetest song on the radio, one that no one’s ever done before, but before I know I, I’ve awaken and the only thing that remains is just the memory of the “coolness.”
The actual info (if you remember it) such an insight contains may be very useless, in a dream it is easy to create the ‘feeling’ that certain information would be of uttermost inportance, and then you wake up and you think…“a new way to teach cows is drinking more milk”… what’s the deal…
If it were usefull info, everyone would be using this info, and really changing the world.
I agree with Xetrov. There has been a few times where I felt like this after a dream and then remembered what it was. Turns out it was nothing I couldn’t really think of while conscious. You got to realize that everything you produce in your dream, is actually information that you hold already.
I have dreams like that now and again, everyone does.
Last one I had that I remeber I was told to cure a headache by stomping on my foot…It worked but then my foot hurt
Thats true, sometimes you think that those ideas in your dreams are important but they are “fakes”, just like xetrov said, it’s easy to create the feeling of something important in a dream. But dreams also can combine some information that you already know in creative ways that you maybe couldn’t think about being conscious IRL. The concious mind kinda filtrates the information that we recieve to our convenience, and the only chance your subconcious has to give you an advice without your interruption is in your dreams. Thats my opinion.
yeah these dreams are awesome! many times I have woken up with the secret of the universe on the tip of my tongue but not being able to remember what it was. They are very annoying but the feeling you have at the moment is incredibly energizing! of course as the others said, the info is probably useless. Once I ‘concluded’ that watching TV would cause the images to build up in my memory and finally make my head explode! yeah, I woke up in horror, and i didn’t want to watch TV again!
This is true, perhaps once in a while you get a really genious idea (like hurting your feet to remove headache ), but mostly it will be just rubbish which you can laugh at a lot when you wake up.
