Well i’ve only LD’d a few times but if you have a high motivation I think MILD is the best one to try. All of my LDs however have been induced with reality checking so you should probably start doing that too.
edit - just rememberd the how to choose your technique thread… look in there:
high motivation, takes a long time to fall asleep:
MILD will be your primary technique. Rather than going through the trouble of WBTB, you will wake up on your own during the night after a dream here and there to properly do the MILD technique. Since you take a long time to fall asleep, WBTB may disrupt your sleep too much to use regularly. It is still a good technique to use every once in while. When you use WBTB, I recommend waking up after only five hours so you are more likely to fall asleep right away. Since you are highly motivated (and hopefully, confident) you should have no trouble maintaining consciousness while your tired body falls asleep.
Hey Phillip_storm!! Any friend of HebrewB’s is a friend of mine!
First of all, I highly recommend that you take a look at the main page: www.ld4all.com
It covers all the basics, and introduces you to all techniques and everything.
you said WILD does not work for you? How many times, have you tried it? WILD is one of the hardest techniques and it takes a lot of time for people to WILD. But if you said it’s not for you, then fine.
It takes you a long time to sleep? Why don’t you try relaxation? Perhaps it’s taking a long time since you are too excited about lucid dreaming. Try to calm yourself down, take deep breaths etc. You can even try relaxation excersises like listening to relaxing music or meditating etc.
Everytime you do dream, you can’t control it? NEVER say things like that. It means that inside your doubtful. It can take time for your first LD to happen. But once it happens, your Subconcious will get used to the idea that you could be dreaming. So don’t give up, keep your head up high and GET YOUR LUCIDS!!
