I have never entered sleep paralysis. I have tried lying still and day dreaming, I have tried counting and taking deep breaths. All of these end up in me either falling asleep after a while or just not falling asleep at all. I have heard and read some stuff about the roll over technique? Anyone want to explain some more about that? Also when I get the urge to roll over or I get uncomfortable I usually just lay there not moving but nothing happens so eventually i roll over get comfortable and fall asleep. If I do roll over or get comfortable I try to stay awake and enter paralysis but I always end up falling asleep. Please help thanks!
Sleep Paralysis really isn’t what you are looking for when learning to LD. If you have never experienced SP, than you probably should just ignore anything that talks about it. If you are trying to WILD, then the most important thing is to find an anchor.
Anchor is something that you can keep your mind on while falling asleep.
If you are thinking about your body too much, it is difficult to sleep, so I recommend a mental anchor. A feeling, a thought, a mantra.
It is hard to find what works for you, but remember when doing this that the goal is to fall asleep, not to experience sleep paralysis.
It says that you have had 3 LDs, if you have had 3 from incubation techniques, than I recommend doing what you did to achieve those while slowly adding things and taking things away so that you can perfect the technique that will get you lucid! Looking through techniques of people on here or at other places on the internet can give you some good ideas, but one person’s technique of getting 100% lucid will only work 100% for that person.
The 3 LDs that I have had, have all been DILDs. I suddenly just realized I’m in a dream without doing any techniques prior. I have attempting finding an anchor for WILD, but I end up staying completely awake. I would like to enter sleep paralysis, because from there LDs can be created.
Sleep paralysis (for most every person) happens as you enter a dream or slightly after. Ever been sleeping and then suddenly you jump to get on something and your leg kicks in real life? That is because SP hasn’t kicked in yet. If you want to enter SP, then go to sleep. That is the only proven way to do it. If “Your body feels heavy” or “You get tingling sensations” or “spinning sensations” that is what your body naturally does each time you sleep, you just don’t pay attention to it normally. You end up staying completely awake because your anchor which right now is “getting to sleep paralysis” is too strong a thought. You need a thought that is second nature that you can think of and not think. If you find yourself wondering “Am I in SP?” then you are probably too awake. You need to let your mind wander under your guidance. SP is not a reliable method to inducing LDs. It is something that “can happen” when inducing LDs and lucid dreamers report more bouts with SP than people that don’t LD, but each time you see someone say “They entered SP” they either are the .1% that actually can SP at will, or they are the 99.9% that think that the feelings of falling asleep are SP, and cannot seem to get to sleep because they are listening to one of the .1% people’s guides.
This is my opinion on the matter. you can take it or leave it. I think that you should continue trying to WILD and DILD, but make sure you read the good guide that they have here.

Click The “how” then “WILD” It is a good simple guide. Guides are good ways to start with things, you will realize ways to make it work better for you.
Sorry this is so long. I like to be thorough and all. Hope it helps. Good luck with your lucid endeavors.
