I’ve been having big problems trying to get into SP lately. For me SP is the answer for becoming lucid and initiating the OOBE. So far I have only achieved them randomely. I am so close to having LD’s and OOBE’s by will, all I need is to master SP. I’ve tried all I’ve heard so far and I haven’t found any recent topics on SP either so I’m asking if anybody knows a good simple technique.
Back in the days before I knew about all this Lucid dreaming and everything I had SP regularely by will and now that I know what it’s good for it seems so difficult. All i used to do was listen to the noises you hear when you slowly fall asleep and concentrate on them. It used to be so easy. 
So if anyone can share some experience, please do. 
I kinda have the same problem . I tried to WILD and I experienced SP the day before yesterday and the day before that . But yesterday when I read some topics about SP I just cant reach SP . My mind is way too exited . I think I
ll try it every day until it doesn`t keep my mind too awake by thinking " Whoa , this is sooo cool . "
Maybe you could try doing the same ? 
Yeah I’m still excited about the whole thing too. I’ll definitly keep trying, as practise makes perfect. It’s just frustrating waking up the next morning after you tried and fell asleep.
Youre absolutely right . Yesterday I had the most frustrating experience of all . I went to bed at 1 am and woke up at 4 am . I was so damn tired because this week I have slept only 3 hours every day . I smoked a cigarette and talked to my girlfriend for about half an hour and went back to bed . I guess I
ve never been so tired in my life and it seemed crystal-clear I´ll fall asleep very quicly . So I started counting numbers to keep my mind awake but let my body fall asleep . After 30 minutes I was really bored but I didnt want to give up and waited 30 minutes more . When I then realized that I
m not even close to SP and all my sleepiness is gone I got so mad I could almost kill my GF . I couldnt sleep after that and now I
m soooooo tired . 
I just dont understand what exactly should I do to get SP . I
ve kinda had it but its like sleeping . When you start thinking about it you woun
t sleep for days . 
Well you should sleep longer if you’re hoping to WILD with SP because of the long REM periods at the end of a good eight hour sleep. I’m single so I don’t have that kind of girl problem
. Well I tried SP yesterday again and all I got was something similar to OOBE or something close… I felt strong pulling on the left side of my Head and I felt small vibrations all over my body, my heart started pounding uncontrollably crazy. I thought that I wouldnt give up and kept my cool, I saw all kind of flashing lights and forms and whatnot getting more intense and vivid while I forced my eyes to stay shut. After about 3 minutes it wore down again and I fell asleep normally after about 1 and a half hours. It didnt really do anything for me. But my dream that night was very clear, unusual for me on Sundays.
It wasn’t that frustrating this time because I at least got some cool results from concentrating, I’m going to try again tonight.

I had a relaxation exercise today, to prepare myself for the night. I noticed that my heart beat rate went up every time I got to another " level " of relaxiness. But I thougth that this is normal, and I could cool it down. It was fun.
I used the concrentation method of counting your breaths, I was telling myself: “Inhale… Outhale… Inhale… Outhale” and at times I vizualised the Inhale Outhale text infront of my eyes with big yellow font, so I could stay concrentated.
It worked really well, and I started to get the numb feeling all over my body after low-level vibrations and 15 mins of relaxing. Then I started to feel a bit bigger vibration over my back, but it didn’t evolve any larger.
I had the most trouble with my eyes. I was stirring tears after I had reached a certain state of relaxation. This happens almost every night when I relax and go to sleep normally. Does this happen to any of you?
But I didn’t get to the HI stage, but I noticed that when you relax like this, you get like really tired.
I fell asleep during the day. Come on! Slept for good 2 hours and it ruined my scheludge! 
The vibrations you feel are actually a hallucination that occurs right on the brink of it working. I think you’re probably just too excited by it. Try to take a non expectant and observational view of what’s happening, rather than think “I am vibrating.”, more the perspective of “The body seem to be vibrating.”. I find that this stops the excitement. It’s important to know what will happen after that point as well, which should I think, be an intense bubbling/roaring/whistling sound in the ears, and a swell of brigh colours in the eyes. If these were to come as a surprise it would certainly over excite or panic you and therefor stop it.
Yeah you’re right, I was pretty excited when i starting seeing those weird shapes and stripes, I almost thought I was going to have an OOBE when i felt the vibrations, maybe that’s why I was so excited. I wonder what the bubbling/roaring/whistling might sound like. I haven’t gotten to that part yet =( but I’m happy that I’m close. Thanks for telling. It’s going to help a bunch. Just too bad that I can’t try this during the week because of being so tired from work. Too tired to try it. I just can’t focus then and I only feel like sleeping and that happens quick then. I’ll try it again on saturday ^^. Thanks again.
