This is an Idea i have. I don’t become lucid very often, so i guess I’m trying to find a shortcut to make my self lucid more often easier.
What Im thinking is the next time I’m lucid Im going to find a dream character and offer them a bunch of money. I’ll produce some hundred dollar bills out of my pockets at this time. Then I’ll tell them when ever they see me in this world(the Dream world) to come up to me and tell me im dreaming and I’ll give them more money. I’m hoping it will…kind of stay in the back of my subconcious and will work.
This is extremely related to a technique that has already been made. It is called CALD (character-assisted-lucid-dreaming). What you do is you make up your own character and you ask them to get you lucid. You can talk to them whenever you want. You should get a quick response as if you were talking to another human but this one is inside of your head. You create the image and you ask them to get you lucid in your dream and they just tell you that you are dreaming and voila! Check out the topic sometime when you get the chance if your interested.
yes , this is a CALD variant …it will work i think , especially if you don’t have a recurring dream “friend” yet … everybody likes money , even figments of your imagination i bet
Only problem is you have to be lucid first to tell them, which shouldn’t be a BIG problem but once oyu get the hang of it your SC will be your best friend.
No offense to the users of CALD, but to me it seems a bit schizophrenic… However I will admit to creating a character for this chore of becoming lucid. =D
Ok back on topic now. I’ve got two dream characters, I don’t see them in my dreams that often, they’re more like the two sides of me actualy. recently I asked the nicer one of the two to look for me and help me become lucid, no assisance yet, but it should work eventualy.
Hiring random DC’s to get you lucid might work, but it wouldn’t work for me considering I hardly ever dream of the same character twice.
What you could do is, one night when you’re lucid put up a giant billboard with a picture of your dreamself on it, and say “$100 to whoever finds this person and tells them they are dreaming”. If you’re any good at dreamworld creation and your dreams have any bit of consistancy (Not the case with me ) this might work a little better.
Wow, I had no idea. I thought I was clever. lol. Anyway, I haven’t been lucid in a while, so I have yet to try it… last time I was lucid was August! Oh well… thanks for the responses you guys!
yeh i had this idea however something i thought of just now is why dont you give them the ability to morph into something / someone else? so that this person can then appear in more dreams? i dont have a dream charicter that shows up in all of my dreams so this will make it so that he/she can appear in more of your dreams also yeh give him/her a lot of cash $$$
You do have to remember that the DC in your dream … doesnt have its own thoughts. Its you. So you can manipulate what it would want. If you imagine it to want money then, thats what it will want when it sees you. You just have to realize your in total control, i mean hey – you dont even have to bribe them, they will do your bidding anyway if you really beleive it, because think about it, its not like you wont be able to control them. Though the idea of bribing them is that inkling inside of you that would love to show off you can do anything whatsoever … which i must admit i have
