Holy Grail Method: at least for me

I’ve been trying to LD for about 9 months now and have tried almost all of the common methods mentioned in this website. I developed my own method which incorperates WBTB and Autosuggesion, a method which gets me lucid dreams at least once per night usually. What I do is:

  1. set an alarm clock to go off 4 and a half hours after falling asleep. Go to bed telling yourself you will have a lucid dream tonight.

2)When the alarm clock goes off, reset the alarm to go off in another hour and 15 minutes, once again go to sleep and use autosuggesstion.

  1. When the second alarm goes off, continue to set alarm for an hour or an hour and half. The constant waking up between dreams allows me to focus on recognizing the dream state.

I think this method works because it continues to refocus your intend, for example if you tell yourself to be sure to get something done that day you may forget if you only tell yourself once. By repetivly telling yourself, my mind is more able to recognize the dreamscape.

Hmm. That sounds like a pretty good idea. Except, I have a few questions…

How many hours of sleep does this require? As in for step 3, how many times do you normally continue waking up?

Besides just waking up, every hour and a half, is there anything else to do?

Because, to me, this sounds like a great way to train yourself to wake up after dreams, but I do not understand how this will give a LD…

If I have enough time, I will try this tonight.

That sounds like a great way to make WBTB even more effective! I think you may be on to something… I’ll have to give it a try.

Perhaps it may work equally well with other techniques (namely MILD) when going back to sleep? I don’t know. Just askin.

Fwump I think he means that you have to get up every fifteen minutes for an hour and a half not every hour and a half.

But, do you have to do this just one day a week or do you have to do it everyday?

I don’t think I could do this everyday.

No, it’s definately every 75 minutes.
