Horrible memory

:grrr: I cant remember any of my LD’s and with regular dreams i only remember bits and pieces. I almost had a WILD once but couldn’t get into the dream. :help:

Try keeping a dream journal. (Surprisingly enough, it seems to actually work…) If you’re only remembering fragments of your normal dreams on a regular basis then it’s not at all surprising you’re completely lacking in memory of lucid dreams.

The fragments that you do recall - just write them down as soon as you wake up. (And, wake up slowly - keep your eyes closed and really recall the dream… Don’t jump out of it, slip slowly out of it - you’ll remember, and you’ll remember more.) Keeping a dream journal for a while will most likely be enough to increase dream recall.

Though, I’m only speaking from personal experience.

(One question, though: How do people not remember a lucid dream, yet recall being lucid in the first place?)

Still… Congratulations on your near-WILD. I have yet to even get there.

That has happened to me a couple of times but I don’t even count them as LD’s since I only remember the “Yay! I’m dreaming!” moment.

Hey Bleh, welcome to the site and good luck on your lucid journey!

Yeah what Angstyboy said is the best idea.

I used to keep a dreamdiary and started off just filling up half a page for one dream and by the end of it i could write for 3-4 pages on just one dream. So it definately does give you better dream recall. It got to the point where I dont need it anymore and can remember dreams I have had months ago in vivid detail.

lol i posted this last night and when i went to sleep i said to myself once only once “I will remember my dreams” and when i woke up this morning i remembered having at least 3 dreams and having one LD that i wrote on for like 3 pages in my journal (I’ve kept a journal since i started trying) all the dream signs were obvious and i even though about them in the dream but i didn’t do anything about them so maybe it wasn’t an LD i’m pretty sure it was because i could feel everything. but i finaly remembered a full dream and felt stuff in it

I am having some problems with my body not going all the way asleep and me in my dream trying to move and me moving in my bed causing me to wake up. kinda anoying when i kick somthing and hurt myself

If your dreams resemble real life even remotely, sometimes a specific object or thought will trigger your memory of a dream. But that’s more of a lucky, random occurance than an actual method. :-\
