how can i compress lucid dream audio mp3?

Hi there,

I have finally got working this software for my mobile phone, it allows me to transfer images and mp3’s to my phone. I have a load of LD audio that i want to tranfer over but i only got 32MB of space on my phone. Do you know any software that i can use that would allow me to take the mp3 audio tracks that i have which have a bitrate of 192kbps and convert it to 32kbps?

I also want to make a track with me saying ‘when i enter a dream tonight i will know that i am dreaming and become lucid’

and then i want to continue the track by saying later on about 90mins in ‘i am aware’ ‘i am aware’ and then about 90mins later say ‘i am dreaming’ ’ i am dreaming’. So then i want to get this on a mp3 track that does not take more than 32MB’s of space on my phone and then i would sleep with the headphones on and see if i become Lucid.

Do you know of any software that can do this?
The track must go on for about 8-12 hours and be no more than 32MB in size, is this possible?

any help much appreciated

You could use the LAME MP3 encoder and put it in a low, low, LOW bitrate… Or you could see if you could get your cell phone to use an SD card, and buy a bigger one.

However, a better way to do this is to make your own MOD. Check out a MOD trecker and make some samples out of what you already have, and it may or may not fit.

And I don’t really think you’re Cell Phone’s battery would last so long

if you use a variable bit rate it should be able to compress it that small due to all the silence time

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the replys,

Akir, what do you mean by MOD trecker?, do you mean tracker.
I do not know what this is, please explain?

My mobile phone has 36 hour battery life, so sleeping with it should not take much battery life, even if it does run out i can sleep with it connected to the mains charger. My phone does not us a secure digital card.

Also Maoru, what do you mean by variable bit rate?

many thanks

lame.sourceforge.net/doc/html/modes.html

i think that was what he was talking about

Google “Power MP3-WMA Converter”. Its a trial, but the only limit is that you can only do like 30 files at a time. Some trial!!!

So download and install, and convert to like 160kbps WMA. Then convert back to MP3 like 160 or 128. Worked for me when I had to get the “Lucid Dream iNduction CD” file from 34 to like 27, to fit on my 32mb Sony PSP Memory Stick.

Thanks for the info,

But i just need to know what program that i can first use to make a LD track?, then i want to encode it into a small file so i can use either LAME or this Power MP3-WMA Converter.

I was taking about MODs like XM and tk.

And I reccomend that you NEVER EVER USE MICROSOFT SOUND FORMATS!!!

WMA makes undertones that cause depression and headaches, so don’t ever use it!

Besides being proprietary, and a Microsoft product…!

EVIL… EEEE-VIL! lol

I’m glad we all agree

How about binaurals in audio compression formats? Are they lost? I tried it once and it seems they are all gone (WAV -> MP3) …
And those lucid induction mp3s we have links for on this forum, do they contain binaurals?

I’ve used several programs for stuff like this, 2 are:

Right-Click mp3
and
ScanRec

I also have the Radium mp3 codec

OK, I said that I hate WMP and it’s bad…

But I just converted the CD to WMV Format…

I had to write it to Cd before I could. Microbrains was to stupid to put a file -> WMV converter.

it’s 27.9Mb

that’s at about halfway, MBR.

The only reason I did this was because I myself just bought a standalone MP# player.

No they are not lost but you must have a sufficiently high bitrate. I use 320 normally which should be enough.

I have a mic plus three recording applications (counting the sndrec32 following Windows in it’s installation). I can make ya a track in which my voice says your message.

This could be a nasty M$ rumor … but I heard the compression used in WMA files tend to create a certain frequency that causes depression in the human brain.

wma files give you headaches and depression? thats crazy, where is your proof

listen to it for a while, and you’ll see what we mean. There’s a reason why I don’t use that file.
