Whenever I am dreaming it’s just like watching a vague, blurry movie of my thoughts. I’ll wake up and think, so-and-so happened, and possibly write down some highlights from it. My dream recall is decent, usually one dream per night, thought it’s vague. But I’m always passive in my dreams, how can I be aware that my dream is just that, a dream? I guess I’m being too general here, but I’ve done RCs and MILD techniques for a good couple of weeks, but no progress whatsoever. Help me

Why do you have to be really desperate tot try WILD?
Maybe you’re a natural in WILD or something like that.
fishmael, like Fadem said, be patient. And go on with your techniques. Still do them. Maybe try WBTB.
You said you tried it for a couple of weeks, there are people who have after a couple of months no result so be patient.
I think WILD is the easiest way to LD
I have the same problem. My dreams are vague, and I never realize my dreams are just dreams. It gets frusterating, doesn’t it? lol
Most people find it one of the hardest ways .
We have sometimes vivid normal dreams, but I think dreams we generally recall are like this. Do you wake up naturally or with a clock?
He he! That is called lucid dreaming…
Did you notice in your DJ that more dreams are related with dreaming, with lucid dreaming, false awakenings, etc? How are you practising RC’s and MILD?
Basilus has a point. Although I’ve yet to LD, I’ve noticed that since I became involved in the world of lucidity, dreams show up in my dreams. Whether it’s surfing the LD4all forums or having a fleeting thought about LD’s, the more you think about it in waking life, the more you’ll think about it in dreams. Good luck, fishmael, and don’t worry too heavily about it. Many times the cause of not LD’ing is trying too hard and stressing your brain–I do the same thing, only with sleeping.
I find the bigest problem with WILD is that it can get really borring, I ussally get so borred and tired I fall completely asleep.
If you can’t do one tech. do another
the only way to get aware in your dreams is to practice being aware in waking life.
I get the best results not practicing any techniques. but thats only because I am too lazy. no telling how many LD’s i would have if i actually practiced techniques
Why do i have this urge of saying that your issue is a dry spell?
thanks for the responses, maybe I was practicing too much, now I’m just gonna take some time off the techniques and let things happen on their own. i’m probably just in a dry spell, i’ll get it eventually.
You also might try the looking-at-your-hand RC. Don’t stress out about your recall, it should get better in time.
