In a roundabout way, Sonic Adventure DX was what led me to Lucid Dreaming. In the game, NiGHTS makes a couple cameos, and I looked up “NiGHTS into Dreams” on google, and found out that it was about two lucid dreamers and a Nightmaren. Later I found out that LDing was real and did some googling. A couple of links later, (after finding Stephen LaBerge’s Lucidity Institute) I found the Ld4All site, and the rest is history.
I first read about them a few years ago when Reader’s Digest did an article on them. I thought it was pretty interesting and started a dream journal, but kinda slacked off until last February when a really vivid nightmare got me thinking about it again.
same for me too although i googled dream control
I once realized I was dreaming in a nightmare and realized that I had full control over the dream. I then attempted to become lucid in a dream again and succeeded about a week later. I searched Google for information on conscious dreaming, and I came across some lucid dreaming information and LD4all.
That’s exactly what happened to me, down to the recurring nightmare. Well, except for two things: my recurring nightmare was actually a series of nightmares with the same basic theme. Also my friend mentioned lucid dreaming to me instead of the other way around (sort of)… so maybe it wasn’t the exact same thing.
A friend told me about them. Same day, I sarted keeping my Dream Journal
My brother told me for about 1 or 2 years ago.
He: “Did you know you can controll your dreams?”
Me: “No. Is that a gift or something?”
He: “No. It is something you can teach yourself to do. It’s called Lucid Dream”
Me: “How do I get a lucid dream?!”
He: “I don’t know, but there was one guy…”
And he told about someone who had a LD. I was allready interested in dreams, and LD was even more fascinating.
Some few months later, I read about it on the internet. I saw a link to LD4all, and became more and more interested.
I read a topic in a swedish game-forum (Yeah I know but there’s categories like “General”, “Movie and Media”, “Programming and Graphic” and so on).
The topic was titled “Dreams” and contained pages of people talking about their dreams. One day someone posted (Could it been Arabinator?) about lucid dreaming and linked to this site. At first I thought it was like silly witch/wicca magic stuff but I kept reading (You must agree that the frontpage of this site doesn’t give the impression of containing something scientificly proved at all ). Anyway, I read about lucid dreaming, found it to be incredibly interesting, FOUND THE FORUM (with you guys). And that was kind of what I needed to see I mean, a forum with over 10.000 members can’t stand for something not existing. Anyway, at the end of the day I had read about every article in the first 34 pages of google (Searching for lucid dreaming) and I was stuffed with lucid information and fact.
I think it’s Arabinator (Here, in this forum) I owe thanks to for writing that post about lucid dreaming.
I found a list on amazon with a title sth like “supercharge your mental abilities”.
2 of the stuff on the list were,Exploring the world of lucid dreaming by Dr.LaBerge, and waking life…
Curiosity,and the rest is history
I read about it once but didn’t investigate. My girlfriend has been an LDer since early childhood. Lately I’ve been learning a lot about Jung’s theories of the psyche. I made a post on my blog about a conversation I had with my girlfriend after she woke up from a nightmare. Our talk revolved around her dreams and lucid dreaming in general. That motivated her to start a blog about her dreams (she’s removed it since then) which motivated me to do a bit of research and start practicing LD-inducing techniques.
On another forum I’m on someone mentioned LDing and I was like," That sounds really cool."
After some searching on the internet I found this site, and decided to join.
i was searching for shamans after i heard this cool shpongle song and got to a forum with a topic called “waking up in your dreams” this sounded cool so i went into it and found LDing
I was reading a bio on Aphex Twin and it mentioned that he wrote an entire album based on LD’s.
Wikipedia linked to a page about lucid dreaming and i clicked on it for no reason…
i read about it in some science magazine. it was an article talking about how bogus it was. i did some research, found this site, found out it wasn’t bogus, got mad at the magazine , and joined ld4all
I googled "Dream Interpretation "
A site came up.
I looked through it and I saw a link to a discussion board about Lucid Dreaming. I thought “Hey, that looks familiar”, so I clicked on it. After a bit of reading, I soon got directed to this site.
Me learning about LD was an accident
well i read a book called “DreamRider” by Barry Jonsberg and the main character could lucid dream so i looked it up on the internet and found out how i could
Well…since I’m a big fan of the Nightmare on elm street films, I started to wonder if it was really possible to control yourself in your dreams. I did alittle research and ended up finding this site.
My dad talked to me about astral travel and I thought it sounded cool, so I began looking it up. While I was doing that I discovered a little bit about lucid dreaming in different books/websites on astral projection.
At first I thought lucid dreaming, especially WILDs were just the more scientific peoples’ way of explaining the astral plane.
Now I mostly focus on lucid dreaming. lol, funny how things turn around on you.
