How Do You Easily Calculate When REM Occurs?

[b]
Does anybody have an easy, and somewhat accurate way of finding out how to calculate when your REM periods occur? Lately I have been simply guessing by slowly increasing thier duration (beginning with 10 minutes and ending with 45), and spacing them out with 1 hour and 30 minutes. Last night though I discovered how incredibly inaccurate they were when I was awoken by my alarm and couldn’t recall a dream. There must be a better way…

IM not sure exactly, but just try setting your alarm clock about 4:30 hours after you think you will fall asleep.

I think the 1 hour 30 min think shortens after each REM period doesnt it?

Since I made a nova dreamer sort of thing I know approximately when I have REM. I get the first REM about 1 hour after falling asleep and then every 1.5 hours after that. The only problem is that it takes a different time for me to fall asleep each night so it’s still a bit hard to time. But I usually do WBTB 5 hours after going to sleep, that includes 30-60 minutes for me to fall asleep.

How did you make a novadreamer thing?
