How do you get into R.E.M. during a 20min nap?

I am a polyphasic sleeper, I participate in everyman and I have been doing this for a little over a week:
11.30am-2am
5.40am-6.05am
9.40am-10.05am
5.40pm-6.05pm
I can usually have dreams when I take my naps which I guess that means I go into REM but sometimes I can’t have dreams, sometimes I have trouble falling asleep, this usually isn’t the case but it happened this morning. I’m not really sure what I did differently other than this time the light was off. I can usually get into REM easy with the light on. But to my main point I would be grateful to hear what all you have to say and what you do to get into REM for a nap. I also have had trouble controlling my dreams so if anyone could give me pointers please do so. :smile:

what kind of everyman exactly ? perhaps you are scheduling your naps at the worst time for REM…
