It’s been awhile since my last LD and I was getting a bit frustrated, although I have been sick and when I’m not well I don’t seem to LD. So I had a LD last night but everything was dark. I didn’t have a body as far as I could tell. Although I figured out I was dreaming by doing the RC holding my nose and breathing. But I new I was in my bed and I felt like I was right on the cusp of waking up. What made me do the RC was I was having a nightmare that I was at the beach and my 8 month old daughter was sitting in very shallow water playing I got distracted my my husband surfing and looked back and she was gone.
OH, it was horrible then everything went black and I was thinking PLEASE let this be a dream, and so I did a RC and sure enough it was
. I tried demanding light but it didn’t work I could not figure out how to make it bright or change the scene because I had no body or at least could not see it. ANy tips on making it light, or changing the scene
Spinning usually wakes me up but I had no body to spin anyway, I tried.[/i]
This was a low level lucid dream not only because of the dream itself, but because of selftrust.
To make light (to get the sun on the sky) you need more that belief. It won’t work just staying there and repeat continously to reveal the light. You actually have to feel it. For example, for the sun, you may close your eyes and feel the warmth of the sun on your body and it’s light through the eyelids.
I’m pretty sure the next LD experience will be better, because of the scene you saw in this one you tried to run away from the dream and even wake up.This is where the darkness came from. You will actually have to learn that any kind of emotion you have inside the dream will GREATLY affect the dream content.
Something that worked with me once:
Whenever things start to darken, focus on something. Make visual contact with a specific object and concentrate on it until things get normal again. Once, the dream was dark, and my sight began to darken as well, so I used an object that was lit by a streak of light coming from a window.
Good tips! Thanks Valerys
I figured out what happen. I was having a false awakening and I needed to open my eyes. The same thing happen the other night. I thought I was dreaming but everything was dark and then I thought to open my eyes but I was afraid I would wake up. Read my Last Dream in my DJ (open your eyes, see with your heart)
