My number one dreamsign is being in or near the apartment our family lived since my birth till some 15 years ago. It’s completely unambiguous, since I don’t go there anymore and it’s very frequent – an ideal dreamsign, indeed. Unfortunately I never notice it as such in my dream, never ever. So, what do the accomplished LD’ers recommend to do to raise my general awareness in dream state?
Well since my dream signs are always random and the closest thing I have to a common dream sign is FA.
When I go to sleep, I picture myself in a dream and try to remember what it feels like while I’m dreaming so the feel of the dream on its own becomes a dream sign.
Any time you enter a place you’ve never been before you should do a RC. How many times have you woken up and had a dream about being in a completely random house or building?
My point exactly.
Well, most times I wake up in my own bed, but outside the room might be different.
So I recommend to wonder what could happen if you were dreaming first and then do all the reality tests.
Leaving evidences to prove yourself later it was a dream, can help how to recognise dreams next time.
Best dreamsign is indeed the wakeup.
Every time you wake up, make a RC.
I am currently doing some excessive WBTB.
Sleeping for 4 hours and then after that 3-4x one hour powernapping. so plenty of wakeups and FA each morning.
With a RC each time you wake up and each time you think about dreams ect you are sure to catch quite a few of them!
Well, you say you haven’t been there in a while? Do you ever walk by it, or see it every now and then. If yes, then make sure you do an RC whenever you think about it, walk by it, talk about it, hear someone talk about it and whenever you are actually in int. If you probably won’t visit it in a while, then this is what you have to do:
You just have to keep remembering this dreamsign, and try to be as aware of it as you can. When your writing your dreams down, make sure you IMMEDIATELY remember this is a DS. The more you understand how much of a dreamsign it is, the better. If it happens anytime soon, then think ‘the next time this will happen i will definitely do an RC.’ Also, try to imagine you were back in the dream and imagine you would realize this was your DC and how you would realize this. For example:
real dream = I am walking with a friend, and i go to my house to get some money. I go to my old house and not to the one i am currently living in.
think like this = I am walking with a friend, and i go to my house to get some money. I look at the entrance, and realise…this isn’t my house! I haven’t lived here in ages! Oh yeah, this is my biggest DS ever! RC YAY!
Whenever you go to sleep you can try autosuggestion with this DS. ‘I will be in my old house, and will realize this is my BIGGEST DS EVER, and do an RC.’
