How to find dreamsigns?

I have a dream journal. I just started it recently, and I have about 15 dreams. I’m trynig to find a dreamsign, but none of my dreams are alike! I look through my journal every day, but still, no dreamsigns.

I had one lucid dream this morning (my first) and I think I became lucid because I had already had a dream that was similar. The first dream in my journal is about my swordfighting with a guy in my attic, and in my dream this morning I was watching two people swordfighting in my attic. I soon realized that I was dreaming.

So how do I know what to expect, and when to do RCs? I do an RC every hour, but is that enough? Do I have a big disadvantage because I can’t find a lot of dreamsigns, and the ones that I can will never happen in real life?

Dreamsigns are just one of the many ways one can get lucid inside a dream, so don’t worry :content: I had, and still have quite the same problem, either my dreams are too different from one another, or dreamsigns just disappear from my dreams when I look for them. So, I just learned to stay on guard, and look for the incongruencies in the dream, instead of RC’ing for any precise thing. If your dreams are so far apart from reality, I’m sure you’ll have no problem applying that  so dream on, and good luck.

You might have to write down some more dreams  I remember it took me some time to find my dreamsigns, so just keep dreaming and you’ll find them :content:

And as Tosxychor said, they aren’t the only way to get lucid.

I do a RC whenever I see anything really weird or out of place, or anything dream related

sometimes dreamsigns are something obscure, like I noticed a theme in my dreams of driving a vehicle indoors. In my dreams I usually spontaneously realize it’s a dream because of something extra weird that happens, usually in the midst of OTHER weird things I failed to see.
