When you’re doing WILD, how can you tell when you’ve reached the dream state? What’s the line dividing “enhanced imagination” from actual lucid dreaming? Do you always have to have HI and/or SP to do WILD?
youll deffinately be able to tell once you get there. HI starts to get some color and become more in focus, and then you feel this feeling at you can “step into” your dream. youll know the feeling once you have it. after you enter rub your hands together and things will become alot more clear.
about the SP/HI, im not sure if you HAVE to have them before entering the dream, or if it is possible to just BAM and be in. but it seems very unlikely to happen like that
If I am entering a dreamstate I sometimes try to move. I start with my hands, I will raise them in front of my eyes, or reach out to touch something. Once I have contact with my setting it usually forms pretty quickly. Once you’re there, you will know. After it has formed I try to make notes in my mind of distinct elements, as I usually tend to slip out of the first one pretty quickly.
Then I just lay there and start the process over again, but this time keeping in mind the imagery I just saw, and usually it will all come back quicker.
Well, the thing is, I don’t know if I’m getting HI or what…I don’t seem to be getting SP. My limbs sometimes feel deadened and stuff like that, but I never get any tingling or odd sensations (unless you count nausea and bad headaches…). As for HI, though, I get things like odd shapes passing over my closed eyelids–arcs and spots. They usually don’t seem very vivid and they don’t change color much…usually, the shapes are simple and I don’t usually have things like stars or complete images. Could those strange patterns be counted as HI, or maybe a prerequisite to it?
I have the same question… I saw a wormhole-ish thing but it wasn’t that detailed… in fact, it was just like when you close your eyes under light… except with a wormhole shape…
touch is a key
when you can touch something, you can pull yourself into a dream.
