People who can do self hypnosis, meditation or use any other method of inducing altered states of consciousness have a better chance (in my opinion) of inducing lucid dreams. When you induce a trance you have better access to your subconscious. It is not necessary to have these skills to induce lucid dreams but it is an added plus. There is an open topic on this: [here](https://community.ld4all.com/t/hypnosis/11665)and [here](https://community.ld4all.com/t/hypnosis/8380) ---

And a topic on exactly the same question can be found [here](https://community.ld4all.com/t/hypothesis-lucid-dreaming-and-hypnosis/9760). Since it covers the same stuff this one is locked.
