I am sleepy in the dream!

It’s been a while since I haven’t posted. I was very busy.
I’m going to try and lucid dream again :woo:
The last time I tried to lucid dream, I encountered a problem:
I knew I was dreaming, but I was too sleepy to do anything!!!
In that dream, a DC asked me a question. I had to force myself to answer. I felt extremely sleepy and tired.
I have never heard of this problem. I need help, guys!!!
:help:

This has happened to me too

Im telling myself it could be a dream when I feel tired (or at least wake up  )

I dont know how to help you though, maybe have a note in your pocket that says: “am I dreaming?” and you can RC on that note (the text will change in the dream  )

Good luck :good:

I had this problem all the time in ND but not in LD or not yet anyway. This normally happens towards the end of my dreaming when the dream is still vivid however usually ends the dreaming. Followed by an awakening where I am very drowsy.

I find that this happens when I wake up with a killer thirst and sweating, usually in the summer. so I would recommend taking on plenty of water. also this happened to me when I was growth spurting so I believe you will grow out of it.

Haha, I’ve done that… well, i wasn’t lucid, but i woke up and remembered my dream and thought, “whoa, i was tired while i was dreaming” it’s kinda funny really.

I’ve had that happen too. I had a sort of simple solution, thouh not much of a solution really. I just sat down and rested for a while and tried to maintain in the dream. It passed rather quickly and I could get on with LDing.

i had a dream where i was tired last night so i laid down for a nap. that triggered lucidity because it just suddenly transferred to another dream.

Cool, that’s reassuring :woo:
I think I was semi-lucid, I’m not sure
Could someone give the definition(s) of semi-lucidness?

Being aware that you are dreaming, but not able to do much even though you are.

I had this sleepiness too a few nights ago. My eyelids were really heavy and I knew I wouldn’t be able to carry on with the LD. It’s pretty annoying getting tired in your sleep!

Also I forgot to mention, in another dream where I had the same problem, I actually gained lucidity, I tried to fly, but the dream was so unvivid I said to myself “Why continue this?” and I stopped, gave up, and went back to normal sleep.
That is another problem, lack of vividity. Anyone have tips?!!

Making a dream vivid can be done a number of ways. Spinning quickly on the spot, rubbing your hands together and focusing on heat and friction and my personal favourite…hitting a surface like a wall with your fists until it becomes too painful to continue. Of course there are probably many more techniques.
