It all started when I was watching FLCl, a well-known and very awesome anime mini series. Anyway, it was episode three, Marquis de Carabas, co-starring Ninamori Eri who secretly has a crush on and a whole list of sexual fantasies involving her and Naota. Anyway, that’s beside the point. I was sitting on the couch with my juice box (they aren’t just for kids!) and the show was at the point that Naota walks into his room to see Ninamori sitting with her kitty in his desk chair, and wearing his pajamas. Then blah blah blah, Ninamori sits next to Naota and Naota accidentally leans on her then goes crazy, Blah blah, then Ninamori mentions his ears and he goes even crazier, and jumps to the corner of the bed and pulls his hat down. Then it was the next part that caught my attention.
Ninamori says:"Who’d understand better than you? You’re Pussy Boots, the one who tricks the prince. He hides who he really is and pretends to be someone else forever. But in time he becomes that person, so his lie becomes the truth, see? blah blah blah.
I was just thinking, what if you did that with Lucid Dreaming? You lie to yourself, and pretend to be a master Lucid Dreamer, but in time, your brain would believe this so deeply, that it tries to make it the truth, and you eventually can lucid dream at will.
Anyway, it was just a thought.
Also, BUY FLCL. It’s a great show.
