I hope this isn't a stupid question

I am curious about something that I hope someone can help me with. A question I have is: can one use lucid dreaming to influence their waking life? I have a specific example of this; because it’s something I would like to achieve. If/when I achieve lucidity, I would like to go into my own mind. I would try to imagine a bunch of levers on a control board and a giant screen with power levels on it. What I’d want to do is to crank up my visualization, motivation, and will power to maximum, redzone levels. If I were to do that, would those three aspects of my life really increase in waking life? Or is it just something that I accomplish in my dream world version of my mind’s inside and that’s where it would stay?

Any feedback would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you very much and have a wonderful day!

I don’t think it’s a stupid question, I was going to ask a question just like this. But, the only parts that I would crank up is my speech, i’m a very quiet peron IRL.

and I think it could be slightly possible…but not too sure…

I’ve used lucid dreams to become more confident and to control my feelings well, but i’ve never done what you’re talking about.

:welcome:
I think its possible to some decree , but i think you would have to use additional Waking Life training , like Auto suggestion to stabilize the effect , oh and the question isn’t stupid IMO
Greets , Sakoda

These things can be trained IRL, I don’t know, however , if they can be achieved without the actual training. Seems like a shortcut. But I think that you can use dreams as powerful ceremonies. To set your intention.
Perhaps also training these things in a dream is more effective than IRL. I read about dream yoga, that they say, a minute of meditation in a dream is worth , like, hours of meditation in a waking state.

Thanks for your input so far everyone :woo:

I’m Pretty sure anything you can do in real life you can train in LDs. However it depends on what you do. Like Playing guitar in a dream shouldn’t be any different and would built your memory of the song making it instinct and therefore quicker to do. Jumping from the roof of a car to another would be different. You wouldn’t know the exact speeds of the car and how far you would jump or the distance between the cars. So if you are crazy enoguh to jump from one car to the other while moving there is little chance it would be the same as a dream and you would fail and injure yourself. Don’t jump from one car to the other in RL by the way.
