I just cant do it...

A friend of mine introduced me to the concept of lucid dreaming a while ago, and i just cant seem to do it. ever. Ive tried WILD, MILD, and WBTB, but i cant do it. Ive started a dream journal, though, which is turning out well. Also, I seem now to be only having memorable dreams during the weekends.

I really feel like this shouldnt be the case… I have the most random dreams that dont register to me as odd, and I never remember to do reality checks…

:help:

Oh yeah you can. In fact, you will lucid dream tonight: You know that, right?

Oh, yes. I forgot about that

I’m not kidding. BELIEVE me, believe in yourself. You WILL have a Lucid dream tonight. You will see. Maybe not long enough but it will happen. Just go to sleep and try to relax and do your basic routine.

Tomorrow you will come back happy saying that you had an awesome LD.

whee

Yes, you will indeed have a lucid dream, and if you don’t think you had one, you just forgot it.

Try more reality checks. Your mind is probably just very hard to trick. Do about 40-50 reality checks a day.

Read my signature and acknowledge it!

Yeah! Don’t worry about it! Your mind may just be going through a blip! Try and stick to your normal routine as well… It really does help! Make sure your diet is healthy and you’re staying well as it can sometimes contribute to the quality of your dreams… good luck!! :content:

mm, well, ive been doing WILD, but it doesnt work very well because i can never wake up 5-6 hours later. So instead ive been doing it during the evening, where instead of gaining paralysis and images, i just fade away…

WILD can be tricky, because you have to translate the instructions into something that will work for you. If you ever feel close to do it, follow your instinct. It’s a bit cheesy, I know, but that’s what worked for me lol.

I’ve also noticed a lot more resistance when I try to WILD as I go to bed. Playing around with the hypnagogic imagery seems to increase dream recall. Try WILDing in the morning of your weekends, when you wake up for the first time. You should get closer. The more you try, the more you’ll notice the different stages of falling asleep.

MILD is the easiest way to reach lucidity when you begin, in my opinion. Of course it takes a little time - to notice your dreamsigns and set up a reality checks routine - but it works very well. Make sure you get enough hours of sleep. If you’re into meditation, do it often. It’s great to increase dream recall.

I don’t experience sleep paralysis, by the way… Don’t worry if you don’t either. Good luck!

Thanks for your support, guys. Im really liking the atmosphere here.

All it takes is patience and belief.

If you’re having trouble WILDing you may find that it’s just not for you may find that it’s not for you. I’ve only had four LD’s myself, all apart from one of these was gained from WBTB, which I find to be the easiest method.

Seriously, you will have a lucid dream, it’s going to happen

Well last night if i had a lucid dream i dont remember.

The dream itself was rather fragmented.

But I do remember finding spider-mans web spinners, which seemed to me at the time very illogical, so I might have had one then.

Coincidently, I was forbidden to use the spinners because they were found in the eye sockets of a corpse. Then someone took them and started killing people in the canteen where i work.

Damn Im mighty strange.

I personally dont intentional do the techniques. Some times i do them by mistake, say if I wake up in the middle of the nigh.

Ive had about 8 LD so far, and my dream recall has improved alot. So dont worry about it, but dont forget about it either.
