I’ve had a few “light-lucids” fairly recently where I’ve assumed that I was in a dream and thought “wow, looks a lot like real life!”, but this last night I had a 100% conscious and vivid experience.
It started out as a False Awakening (for some reason all my lucid dreams have started that way) and I tried turning on my bedlamp, just like last time, and again it had randomly stopped working.
I just kind of decided for myself “yep, now I’m probably lucid again” and I looked at my hands and noticed that they were a little thicker and seemed to shine faintly in red, and I thought “yes, I am indeed lucid”.
Then I went out of bed, and I felt that everything went kind of slow - it was almost like walking under water - and I felt a strange shivering feeling in my body.
I was surprised at how totally calm I was the whole time, I just went around and checked things out in my “dream house”, and then went out on the porch.
It was pitch-black outside (although I could still see buildings and trees), but lukewarm and rainy so it felt quite pleasant.
I tried closing my eyes for one second just to see if I could create something in my thoughts - then I woke up in bed again.
I was a little disappointed that the dream ended so quickly, but I was also exhilarated since I could now say with 100% certainty that I really was completely lucid the whole time.
I just wish that I can actually get out of my house in my future LDs someday (lol), but I think it’s extremely promising that more and more of my dreams have started to involve lucid dreaming in some way.

Is it normal to feel a very small “resistance” when you walk around in lucid dreams?
When I went out of my dream-bed in this last dream I had that mild trembling feeling in my body and it felt as if I were walking in slow-motion; I guess I took about one step per second, and the air seemed to have the same density as a liquid.

Why do my lucid dreams always start out as False Awakenings?
This last time I actually had a small dream-scene where I started to become aware and where I thought things seemed really strange, but that one also turned into an FA.

How can I get LDs during the night?
My last two (and most successful) LDs have happened when I fell asleep extra early during the night, then woke up very early, and then instantly fell asleep again - this is certainly a great achievement and everything but I would be even more happy if I could get them during the night, which obviously is the most convenient time to have LDs.
Yes sometimes, usually there is no resistance but for some reason we sometimes feel that. I remember that I had a dream where I put my hand in pocket but I couldn’t get it out until I get very angry and then i succeeded. I think with more lucid dreams you will get over that obstacle.

Honestly I don’t know. Do you remember what you were dreaming before? Maybe you have a doubt about being lucid in previous dreams and then your mind tricked you into FA in which you were even more sure that you are dreaming! But I wouldn’t worry about that, if you have constant FA you can easily take that for a DS and RC. Just whenever you wake up you should first do a RC and then everything else…

I guess my theory about why you end up in FA was right. Because here looks like you did DEILD. You were obviously in previous dream almost lucid and that’s why ended up next dream in FA. It looks like successful DEILD.
For getting LD through all night you should work on MILD. But once you get WILD or DEILD right you can dream constantly because of chaining… It’s great combination…
