I knew I was dreaming - checked hands ... but............

Ok - quick summary

I have been keeping a dream journal for 1 month now.
I have approx 4 normal dreams a night that I record.
About a week ago I thought … I am dreaming and woke up.

All pretty normal in the world of lucid dreaming.

Last night though I dreamt and checked my hands. My fingers were blurred so I knew I was dreaming. The trouble was it really did not feel any different from a regular dream apart from the fact I knew I was dreaming. The alarm clock went on and I literally jumped awake. Normal the alarm clock wakes me up in a slower fashion.

My question is this. If I persevere will the lucid feeling be ebhanced to a point where the dream feels like reality? Or will the lucid dream always feel like a normal dream apart from me being aware that it is a dream.

Thanks in advance.

My lucid dreams feel so real that most reality checks don’t even work anymore :bored:. Though this makes for an awesome dream I am always so nervous that I am not dreaming. This eventually leads to me panicing when I kill someone and the police come.

P.S. Closeing your moth and nose then trying to breath works no matter what! :woo:

Sometimes dreams aren’t that vivid, even if you are lucid, sometimes it’s the other way around. But generally, the more you focus on the dream, the more vivid it gets. So, if you would stay in the dream longer you have more time to focus on the dream senses, which will happen almost automatically. The idea is to engage the senses and the dream will get more vivid. It’s good to spin around or something.

It’s weird but i never had to do a reality check in my dreams when i was becoming lucid. I had instantly realised that i was dreaming, maybe because i knew that i should be in bed and sleeping.

My dreams are like reality, I even feel “dream wind” as it blows across my face.
