I need help with Birds early morning LD system

Mr. Bird recommends that after 6 hours of sleep, that one should get out of bed, stay up for approximately one hour reading about lucid dreaming, and then go back to bed and hopefully have an LD. But my problem is that once I wake up, I have great difficulty falling back to sleep again. My question is- - Would it be ok to use a brain wave sleep device to fall asleep again, or would this be unwise? Does anybody know? thx

I don’t see how such a device could be harmful to lucid dreaming. If it helps you get to sleep, then I recommend you use it. You might also want to try staying awake for shorter periods of time. Half an hour should be perfectly sufficient, and you’ll probably find it easier to get back to sleep.

Thank you Atheist for that good advice. I will try it first thing in the morning. Incidentally, although Mr. Bird recommends staying up for at least one hour, he admits that he himself only stays awake for twenty minutes. Therefore, your suggestion Atheist is an excellent one. Thanks again.

You dont have to follow it stright if u have problems falling asleep. In the long run you will prolly give up on it if its too stressfull.
Im similar…once im awake for longer than 20 mins i cant get back to sleep till later on.So on some occasions i get up early and later on i have afternoon nap-about 1,5-2hrs.Most of my lds happened just then
good luck
