So i have been researching lucid dreaming for a day now (not that much) and really like the idea of it and would love to get into it. However I am very anxious at times and tend to have panic attacks quite easily. My panic attacks usually occur when something feels abnormal.
So i was wondering if i eventually was able to lucid dream, if i felt so real in the dream world just like reality and notices things abnormal would i have a panic attack some how while im alseep or even in the dream and wake scared/anxious? I would appreciate any help towards this
Since you have panic attacks, I would personally advise you not to try the WILD technique. But lucid dreaming could help you with the panic attacks since you will experience strange/abnormal things in a safe environment.
Okay thanks a lot can the WILD thing happen without me trying to do it? Or only if I try to do it?
It’s not going to happen if you don’t go looking for it, barring some real out of the way circumstances (staying awake for a really long time, days on end, for example). If for whatever reason it does happen to you, and it is scary, just remember it’s a normal part of the sleep process and it can’t harm you if you don’t wish it to, and probably not even then. From there proceed to try and break out of Sleep Paralysis using one of many techniques (which can be found elsewhere on this site).
