I had this dream before… Zombies attacked… and I was pretty scared until I realized… “this happened before, I must be dreaming” and then my mother told me that I wasn’t… and I tried to fly… and it didn’t work. so I tried to wake up… but I couldn’t… I had to wait in the basement… fight the zombies and save and gather the unaffected people…
what happened? any ideas? 
You listened to a DC. My best advice is don’t listen to anyone but yourself! Do a RT like looking at your hands, try reading something, if there is anything out of the ordinary expect something to happen. Expect there to be a sixth finger on your hand (this always works for me), or expect your hand to be a cats paw. Also, when you read something turn away and expect it to change, 70% of the time It will. Next time you think your dreaming just do a RT and expect it to happen! Your almost there 
so you think because she told me that I wasn’t, even though I knew that I was… I didn’t become lucid… Interesting…

You had low lucidity - which was lowered even further by the DC (which you at least partially believed).
You let your fear overwhelm you when it came to the zombies it seems…
(for future reference waking yourself up is very easy, simply close your eyes and expect to wake up

Sure ! You were very near to lucidity ! Sometimes, you can find DC’s who help you to reach lucidity, saying “Hey ! You’re dreaming !” 
, but you can also find DC’s who don’t “want” you to become lucid… 
Even in dreams that we know are dreams, things dont always work the way we expect. In my astral projections (which are similar to lucid dreams) I can always fly through walls,… but there has been times where I try fly through a wall…and BANG! I hit it, and cant go through it lol
but i think its a matter of “BELIEVING” you can do it… if you hesitate about it, its common you may not be able to achieve it.
if your dreaming, just know you can do anything… but anyway congratulations thats good you realised your dreaming… all the best

Lol, mother DC seem to never allow their children to have an LD. I never heard about any mother, which would agree it is a dream and she is thus a DC.
The less you know a DC from real life, the more possible it is that s/he is telling the truth…

Well while we’re already kinda on this topic, I’ve been trying to call my spiritual advisor for quite some time, but they never seem to show… but there was this woman with blond curly hair and when she came (I wasn’t lucid at this time) but once she came, it was all too clear that I was lucid. could this be my spiritual advisor? Las time I tried to call upon them two kids came and one picked me up and turned me upside down and said “Your dream will soon end” and as much as I tried, everything eventually went black for about 5 minutes and I went back into another dream (I was lucid there too, but they still never showed) could it be possible that I don’t have one?
grin I don’t believe in spiritual advisors, spirit guides, etc. Most people who do would say that everybody has them/one.
