I think ive read this before, that if you close ur eyes and spin around in a lucid dream you will end up in a wierd place, is this true?
In one of my first LDs I spun around and I lost the LD through it
Yes, spinning is a method of teleportation in dreams. I haven’t had any success with it, but I hear good things.
I suggest you don’t close your eyes. Just invision - don’t close your eyes. Spinning and closing your eyes causes most people to wake up; however, just spinning and visualizing not only can salvage your dream, but it can also teleport.
Whatever you do, though, I just recommend you stay away from closing your eyes. I let that slip once; I woke up very annoyed. Since dreams rely on your dream senses to keep you within it, closing your eyes takes away a HUGE sense, therefore usually ending your dream.
Closing your eyes can cause you to wake up, sure, but it doesn’t have to. It’s better to be able to close your eyes without waking up, so it may be worthwhile practising it. But it’s not necessary for spinning because if you spin fast your surroundings become less defined anyway and can transform stealthily which it seems to like doing.
