Well all today I spent all my time reading about Lucid Dreaming. Ive learned everything possible. I have watched videos, and read half of a book on it. Tonight IM going for my first shot at WILD, WBTB, and MILD. If anyone has any quick tips, that would be great.
I just want to say good luck to you, I tried my first time last night with the WILD technique but didn’t work out too well, so Im going to try the MILD technique tonight since it is the easier way. Again good luck to you
I tried WILD but obviously I fell asleep, I put my alarm clock in my hand the night before and set it for 3:00AM. I awoke to the sound of it, and moved my thumb only to shut it off, but my eyes opened slightly. I did not move a bit, legs still, head still, everything completely still. The only hard part was not swallowing, because my throat was very dry. ( I swallowed about 5 times, very slowly though). Through out it, my body felt extremely heavy, and my hands through my upper arms were 100% numb.I had been doing the WBTB+MILD for 55 minutes, so I decided to change positions slightly, and go for it again. All of them failed but when I awoke, I felt really relaxed.
I understand that it takes a while to get your first LD, I hope I get some results tonight.
Cool! I am very new to this forum, but if I understand correctly, Lucid dreaming is an art that takes a LOT of patience and practice to complete. Just keep trying and don’t get discouraged!
Try sleeping a few hours then go up and stay awake for 15-45 minutes before trying WILD.
If I just turn of the alarm and lie still I’m just way too tired, can’t seem to “focus” and I give up. However if I leave the bed for a while and stay up for about 15 minutes it usually works. I go back and lie for about 30 minutes untill it gets real uncomfortable, then I turn on my side, stretch my entire body and let my body take the chance to relax and fall asleep. As this happen I just focus on entering the dream and I just float out of my body directly into my room.
This worked the first time I tired to WILD and has worked since. However I’m gonna start working with MILD since WILD is very tiresome if you’re not very pro.
It gets easier after your first LD.
Dont try TOO hard.
Stay persistent, that’s the key to LD’ing.
Keep a dream journal and write in it every morning, even if you didn’t dream.( just write, “had no memorable dream”
Good luck
