…Thats rediculous.
I used to have horrible Recall.
And I tried for an entire year before my first LD.
Now I LD frequently.
You just have to work at it, like everything in life.
Kit is right. You need to really shake yourself together. Life sometimes sucks, but this is not a reason to give up and say “I can’t do anything”. In LDing too, you will never have lucid dream, if you will be beating yourself like that, remember that everyone can LD.
I’ve been working on lucid dreaming now for about a month and I’ve had no success. And I’m the type of person that picks up on things very quickly. You just have to have some patience. It will come in time.
its very likely that you’re just trying to hard and forcing it. the first week i tried everything and had luck only once. but the week after, i just kept it in mind that i wanted to lucid dream and i began having them. dont force it and dont worry.
And don’t ever start believing you can’t do it. For LDs, belief goes a long way. If you start thinking you’ll never do it, well, then you probably wont.
Blind people have climbed Mount Everest. Deaf people has written music. Nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it.
Wow…you got one helluva self-esteem don’tcha So…you basically think, “Life’s a b*tch, and then you die.” Right?
I’m gonna give you a quote that has been said a few times on the forum:
“Whether you believe you can or can’t, either way you’re right.”
In that case, man, (at the cliched risk of sounding very Dr. Phil-ish) if you believe you’re not good at anything and that it may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others. , then there you very well go
Maybe self-pity is comfortable for you, though (I’m not trying to sound like a jerk…sorry if I am )
Always remember you’re unique…just like everyone else
No…sorry…probably not funny right now
Many people don’t find what they’re really good at until they reach their later college years. Some during middle-age (35-45 years). I believe, really, the time in your life where you display the most difference in talent are between the ages of 6-13 years. Once you hit the teen years and tango in the high school jungle you’re trying to be different by imitating others and following the peer pressure’s flow
What you need is a serious morale-boost
(Come over to the dark side and I will help you achieve that as well as ultimate power C’mon…I have gum…sugar free Spearmint…)
You’re good at something, man You just need to do a little bit of experimenting to find out what
I find that my LDs usually hate me consciously calling upon them…that’s why I just coast on the ND waves until I achieve lucidity via DILD (WILD and WBTB works out okay for me, but DILD tends to work almost all the time). I’d say, keep up with that DJ and continue to consciously recall your dreams Interpret them also–that helps Don’t give up because you’ve only achieved one LD about 5 months ago–I’ve heard of some people taking years to achieve a single LD (people are different ). Don’t neglect those awesome NDs inbetween WL and lucidity, man (think of your subconscious as a mental television set of infinitely many channels and each ND as a new episode from any of those channels ) Even if it takes you many years before your next LD you still have your normal dreams to look forward to
I’m setting my mind to complete mastery over time and space…is that possible In the real world
You have low self esteem and as a result you get disappointed very fast and you fail at what you do! Everything needs practice and you should have a good schedule.
You didn’t tell us, what method do you use, you try to lucid dream every single night or when you remember to? Dream diary is just a helpful tool nothing more, it will not give you Lucid dreams
You are wrong here! because 5 lines above that, you say:
So, my suggestions are: get more motivated to what you do, have strong willpower, don’t get disappointed fast, have self-management and a schedule, don’t change technique every night, week or month. Persevering pays back.
No good at school no good at sports, that doesn’t mean you fail at everything that’s 2 things, which your probably not that bad at anyway, not EVERYTHING IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD so pull yourself together mate, thinking like that will get you nowhere. As for LDing, as most people have already said, I guess anyone who puts their mind to it can do it but you can’t think so negatively about it or it won’t happen.
The only thing you lack is the confidence to carry on, not everyone gets all their feats handed to them at birth, endure and grow.
And I don’t think it’s really possible to be genetically dispositioned to not be able to DL, small comment removed (I mean, I got an asperger diagnosis(the two may be related now that I think about it) but I seem to have the thing natural) ofcourse.
