Impersonating Voices

I’m wondering if you could actually learn how to impersonate someones voice by lucid dreaming. Yes i do know for learning something you need to know somewhat something of that object. So anyone know?

If you ask me, of course! You can use the time to practice - even use the dream environment to your advantage by summoning that person to you.

The only thing you should watch out for is your dream making your voice sound like the other person’s on its own. As long as you keep your intention clear, this won’t be a problem.

I think the risk is too big that you miscalculate what your voice will sound like.

Of course you can impersonate someone’s voice. I mean, when I switch genders, my voice changes all the time!

(Or else the DC’s would be giving me weird looks )

I guess Bright_Eyes_Rock wants to imperonate sb’s voice in real life…

So, I believe you can do it, but you need:

  1. Long LD with absolute lucidicy (not less)
  2. Know EXACLY (lol, spelling) how does that voice sounds
  3. Be able to mess with SC

And loads of luck :hmmm: Not trying to kill your optimism, but it propably will not work

The waking state is probably better for this sort of thing. Impersonation is about knowing what to do with the ourushing air and the vocal cords in order to sound like someone, and you have no vocal cords in a dream, only memories of how you’re supposed to sound.

Oh, in real life! Er, I’ve never trained for that in a LD. I think learning that skill in RL might be the best option. The results you get in a LD can be deceiving…
Besides, if you did train for it in a LD, you’d have to remember exactly how you shaped your voice and throat and such. That might be alittle hard.

Yeah, practise in RL instead. To learn to make your voice sound a certain way is mostly experiementing. Instead you can use the lucid dream to practise what to use that voice for.
