Instant lucid dreams in the morning

When you are sleeping in in the morning, and you are allowed the time to wake up slowly, you get to a point where you are sort of fading in and out of the dream state. During this time, you can be asleep one minute, awake the next, and asleep again a minute after that. That is pretty interesting, and you can get some short dreams from this as well.

Now, a few times, I have been able to actually take advantage of this state. While laying in bed and awake in the morning, I have just started to visualize something, and almost immediately, the thing I was visualizing would come to life, and I would have a dream. Even sometimes lucid. Now, these morning dreams are a bit different from the dreams you have during the night. When they begin, while they can be vivid, they are often more controlled by you than your subconscious. This changes, however, as the dream progresses, and the world will start to become more unpredictable. Also, these dreams are a lot shorter than normal dreams. That doesn’t mean they can’t be of reasonable lengths, and even if it ends, just try to conjure up another dream. You will be able to do this several times during the morning.

I had this experience this morning. I had several short, but fun dreams. I also had an interesting experience where I tried to imagine a man’s voice talking. When I did so, it felt like I was actually hearing him talk, even though I was making up what he said as I went. Several of my dreams were lucid. I even was able to breathe underwater during one.

Why don’t you try this?

Funny you would mention this, but all this last week. I’ve been waking up in the morning, falling asleep and having some cool dreams. Just this morning, I had a dream off playing paintballing but with rubber balls . The one before that I was in Rome fighting horsemen . It’s just every morning, I do it. I just need to find out how to become lucid through this lol

So basically, you just have to visualise something and it eventually comes to life?

Don’t you have to be in REM sleep to dream? I always thought that but I know exactly what you’re talking about because I do that almost every morning- wake up and lie around in my best dozing off and having really short fragmented dreams.

Falling asleep right after you’ve woken up enables you to “stretch” your REM sleep, and you can sleep another hour in REM.

I too have this happen to me a lot. I guess it is a natural form of WBTB(which I was almost never able to force myself to do). I cant believe I had never thought to use this morning state for lucid dreaming…Ill definitely try using it to my advantage.

I’ve enjoyed a few morning dreams… my only problem with them is, if i’m tempted to doze off intentionally to inhabit a controlled low-lucid dream I end up sleeping in for another 1-2 hours… not really a good thing to oversleep. Still, yeah - everyone should take advantage of the situation where you just woke up (WBTB).

Yeah… y’know when you hit the snooze button and the alarm shuts up for nine minutes? I had these kinda dreams during the nine minute intervals. I was never really asleep, but my mind wandered and images in my head just came to life. I enjoyed it for a bit, but eventually I had to wake up.
