Instant-SP

I find occasionally when I have a big day or have caffeine in the afternoon as soon as my head hits the pillow and I close my eyes I experience what seems to be a similar eye movement to REM. If I follow this feeling and allow it to proceed, I feel my head feel slight pressure and within 1-2mins I am in SP. (By the time I get to SP i usually refrain my eyes from conducting the pseudo REM)

From here I have been really interested in transitioning to the next steps and possibly using WILD since I hear the SP is almost there. However I find it very hard to quieten my mind to allow images to form. I don’t know if it is because when I get to SP it’s because I have done it at such a rapid rate or because my mind is all shook up from the day… But it seems difficult to move beyond this point, so I usually wake my body from SP and then go to bed normally.

Any advice on what I can do or any comments?

This happens to me often, I can never actually get into the dream. I think it’s cause your mind is still too awake for the dream to start. I think if you probably just let your mind relax, and wait a little like you would normally in WILD, you’d probably get into a dream.

This happens to me sometimes, but once I was able to get into a dream. :content: It just took a lot of practice

Happens to me whenever I am tired and rest, but want to remain awake, the weird thing is that this never happens if I want to sleep :nuu: so if I want to experience this I have to fool my mind that I want to be awake, or I wont be able to get an instant SP

It’s because you’re not in REM sleep.
The first REM period occurs about 90 minutes after you’ve fallen asleep, so that means once you hit SP, you’ll have to stay in it for 90 minutes before you can enter a dream. This is why WILD is almost only done successfully after waking up from a previous dream and you’re already in a REM period.
