Is it possible to have a ND about LD?

I’m not sure if I got lucidity this night (for the first time?) since I woke up just after I realised I was dreaming because of fireworks… but, I’m not sure if it was actually an ND about LD or an actual LD, since I said ‘Wait a minute, I’m dreaming!’ and then I felt really weird…

Edit: Also, another question, I try the WBTB every night, but I simply turn off my alarm and go back to sleep, even though before going to sleep I tell myself to stay awake and do WILD… is there any way I can convince myself when I’m bloody tired to stay awake and do WILD?

It is often the case that you’ll feel a unique sensation when you are lucid, only you can properly tell if you were lucid, but . With the WBTB problem, perhaps you can put your alarm somewhere where you have to get out of bed to turn it off. You could also try using the snooze on your alarm. That way if you do just turn over you will get woken up again. It could be frustrating if you do try to WILD and succeed though.

I have to stand up, but then I simply forget to try to WILD and just simply go to bed.

Maybe you can put a piece of paper on the alarm clock with “WILD” in big black letters on it. You may not be able to read what is on there but the fact there is a piece of paper in the way might trigger you to think, I want to try WILD.

ive had a ND about a LD before, i was flying around and things and telling people “hey your in my dream!” but i was never lucid  . and the paper idea that Dragon73 was talking about helps too, i used to get up and get right back in bed like you do, but i put a peice of paper ontop of my alarm clock that says “LD4ALL” , my alarm clock is right next to my computer , so i force myself to read the forums for about 30 mins

I like that idea - it also safeguards against FAs if you reality check whenever you see said clock - if the paper is missing it’s still a dream!

I have trouble sometimes with getting up. try drinking a glass of water and still set ur alarm, so when ur alarm goes off u need to go to the loo. Turning on the light in ur room also helps (if noone else is with you!) keep u awake.

I believe that having ND where you see that you have LD is relatively common and connected with FA-s.

If you have problem to wake up for WBTB then try to change the time of alarm. There are periods in the dream cycles when is easier to wake up. And let some normal nights for rest. WBTB at every nights may be exhausting specially if you have no baby care training done.

For a week now I’ve had several dreams where I talk about LD with someone. Once I even tried to check if I was in a dream and tried to jump off my couch and start flying, but I just slammed on to the floor  and thought I was still in real life.
Do you guys have such dreams also often?
Am I getting close?

Merged from similar topic. :dragon:

It happens sometimes  Are you getting close? Yes.
My tip would be for you to work a bit on your rc’s - Since jumping off your couch isn’t working lol xD

Lol, this happens to me a lot. I’ll be in a dream thinking about LD’s, but I never actually do a RC. Sounds to me like you are very close.

This happens to me quite often as well. My RC’s usually end up not working too, so I know what you’re talking about.
You are close though, I had a lot of ND’s about LD’s before I had my first LD. I now get them intermittently, but still find them ironic,

know what would be funny?

hey, am I AWAKE right now?

nah, nah, must be dreaming.

I usually look at my hands and I usually have a eleven fingers, so try that; i usually works for me. Good luck!

Lucky you! :content:
That means you’re close to having a real LD.
